The Volta card unveiled is the GPU Compute card as other Tesla's have been.

This is what the 2080 and 2080ti will be eventually based upon, just wait another year for that if you're interested in it.

if you're interested in profits now, I suggest you pick up some 1070s and get to making some $$$

Now as a Gamer, I can't wait for the 2080 series, especially on the mobile side. 4k Ultra @ 60+fps on a laptop on basically every game anyone? Yeah that's coming.

good choice to buy now the 1070 but the 1070 should be 10% faster, it's maybe better to wait if you have already a farm, waiting for volta instead it's stupid there is too much time to wait and profit to lose

Next spring and a big boost.

This is really good for zec mining.

Here is my logic

https://coinmarketcap.com/

Rank---Coin------Total Cap----------Coin Price------Coins Mined--------  Daily Volume
17.......Zcash.....$124,925,489......$97.78............1,277,606............ $7,113,760

nvidia is the clear winner at mining this coin

The cap is low compared to Nvidia's $52,000,000,000 plus cap.  They can easily prop Zec's price to ensure cards sales.  Basically a rebate or commercial for their cards.

And they  can actually make money  trading the coin.  So  it is potentially cheaper and more effective then any rebate or commercial.

   80mh    is  120,000  1080 ti's or 84,000,000 in sales

we know the network is  a mix  of many different cards, but  the gear growth  potential is huge.

nvidia and amd know about this is clear, they are releasing moster gpu for this sector too, but not only zec is good for nvidia, lbry is good too, maybe nvidia is behind the last pump of lbry? could be by how the thing are going

yeah could be.  I see that  diff could 2x  and price could stay at 100 usd  with zec  and the coin would still make money for miners.

It has been an amazing run for Gpu mining  more then 15 straight months of good coins for Gpus  and when you look at watts  the alts have beaten  BTC for more then 1 year in a row.

@ Eyedol-x  yeah  it looks like  a lot of growth  with the 2080 ti's  next year.

Early this year, if you pay 0.2/kWH for electricity, it was not very profitable.

For a new and used NVIDIA Tesla P100 GPU computing processor - Tesla P100 - 16 GB on amazon.com wow .. i know only high end business need or can afford it but that has to be bad ass for mining and way beyond my price range .

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B06WV7HFWV/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

 $13,931.68 Used

$ 15,003.34 New

and you won't get it till July even the used one ...I'm guessing that because they release the end of June and the used ones are what they are using to test with now ? .

That's about 3 or 4 k sol or higher per card .... instead of what 20 cards to get the same results depending what card you base the speeds off of .. nice but very costly ..

So if it's = to 20 cards, is anyone using Teslas to mine? I'd trade all my 1080 Ti's for a 3 or 4 of these any day looking at the numbers- they look great on paper but would it work?

Were you ever able to (or anyone else) prove Teslas were good in practical terms (having noted someone actually using them for mining)?
