really? how did u get 10k devcoins then? i assumed you were a highly generous miner
I actually got some coins as a donation, and I had .2 BTC on the silk road, so I transferred it to Vircurex, and used it to get a few more... And now I'm just sharing

Seems devcoins was left behind by some new alt coins especially feathercoins. What is the reason devcoins still has a very low value?

There's a lot of them. Devcoins are extremely microtransaction friendly. 180,000,000 DVC are generated every month. It can be very profitable, but it requires maintaining an awareness of its much greater monetary mass.

Devcoin got me the initial capital I needed to acquire serious bitcoin. Dealing with devcoin just requires thinking in bigger numbers. Anything less that 250,000 probably isn't worth moving through an exchange (though I think it is a bit more than 3/4 of a bitcoin ATM), and less than 5,000,000 probably isn't worth trying to deal OTC. If you mine BTC merged mining DVC isn't going to add any additional cost, but the real money is in the generation shares allotted to Devcoin projects.

Now there's quite a bit more competition for generation shares though...

From what I can see it is just lack of awareness.

(This means post #100 earns 10,000 DVC post #200 earns 10,000 DVC post #300 earns 10,000 DVC etc)
