Hello there everyone. I paid using my blockchain wallet through BitPay. I paid the amount it recommended (240 satoshis per byte) and it hasn't confirmed for over a day already. Can someone please help? I also made a transaction today to attempt again and it won't confirm. It has been 2 hours since that one.

Help is appreciated. Thank you.

This is not Bitpay's issue. Bitpay can only estimate the fee required for reasonably fast transaction, but the actual fee will change. Don't worry it will get confirmed eventually.

You can boost your transaction to be confirmed fast.
Use this link  https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
Put your transaction id in it. It has a limit to 100 transactions per day, be quick.

This is the same as my experience before when i buy a service only through bitpay but the issue like other is not from the site where you buy something..
Bitpay is just a third party for payment gateway.. you need to pay the exact amount before you get the bought service or product.
How much the fee you paid in blockchain wallet?
Can you give us the link of the transaction you made.
For more understanding better to go in this link for tutorial to solve the stuck issue about your transaction

I hope that it will help

Sorry. Title should've been Blockchain's problem because it highly recommended a fee that was only 120 sat per byte. I was wanting 240 sat per byte.

Can you post your tx id here so that we can help you to get confirmation on them using viabtc tx accelerator. You can try to enter your tx id there yourself also https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

If bitpay rejects your tx with the notice time out than you can contact them for refund or you can contact the merchants directly to get refund if your balance don't get updated there.

For time being just try to increase your fees over recommend fee if you are using blockchain.info

This is a problem across the whole Bitcoin network at the moment. The reason? As of the time of this post, there are currently over 160,000 unconfirmed transactions in the confirmation queue.

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Even with a higher fee, the probability of thousands and thousands of transactions with higher fees than yours are high. Think of it like you buying a "fast pass" for an amusement park, but hundreds of other people bought one, as well. Yes, you will get on the rides faster than the thousands of other people who didn't buy a fast pass, but you'll still be waiting in line with other customers that did.

Make sense?
