Physical Cryptocoin Sales Values from outside this forum

There's always discussion about valuations of physical cryptocoins when an auction or sale is on thread. I found a source that lists sales history (for one seller) of physical cryptocoin and related collectibles.

Some of you will notice a few familiar items that are currently for sale, but what I think is important is the history, so scroll to the bottom of the page!

Summary of most relevant sales (all in fiat):

• 2011 Casascius Gold Plated 25BTC unfunded - $2,760
• 2013 Casascius Silver 1BTC - $3,600
• 2013 Casascius Brass 1BTC ANACS MS 64 - $2,730
• 2013 Casasicuis Brass 1BTC - $2,520

Other coins listed include Cryptolator, MicroSoul, Dogecoin, Lealana, Unobtanium, Darkcoin, Cryptofreeze, Ravenbit, etc.

Question for you all - Are these sales records worthy in our community's ongoing discussion of valuations?

Given that he provides the offer price, I assume he's trying to be brief writing the sale price. But assumptions don't mean much.

There's no way he sold the Casascius coins for literally dollars. He certainly wouldn't brag about it as "discounted prices" as a means to encourage more offers on what he's currently selling...which is really what this sales history is about on this site.

I guarantee you this website isn't a history of some individual's sales. This is a shitty ebay listing repeater. "For sale" is all for sale on ebay. "Sold" is likely ebay completed listings, not necessarily sold listings.

Just go to the source for a more realistic history of Cas sale prices for fiat. Filter on CASASCIUS/SOLD/>$100/RECENT:

And remember ebay takes 10%, paypal takes another 3%.

I am not sure that this page actually does show recent sales (ie things that sold, and their sale price)

The top of the page shows current offerings

The bottom of the page shows coins that have recently been discounted

Or am I reading this wrong ?

Is the 10% from ebay driven by the dollar amount or is a flat fee regardless of sale price?

I didn't know we could look up sale history on ebay nor did I know about the wathcount.

Or am I reading this wrong ?

In the UK, so ebay.co.uk, it is 10% of the amount up to £250. So sell something for £100, have £10 charged to your eBay account as a fee. Sell something for £2,500, have £250 charged to your account. Sell something for £5,000, you will "only" be charged £250.

Not sure how this differentiates from ebay.com.

TL;DR - eBay is a rip off
