Electrum customer support

I'm new to Electrum and looking for support from their customer service department - do they exist? Can't seem to find a number or any contact details.

Problem I'm having is they two transactions haven't gone through and it's been a few days now. I understand that there is a bottleneck of transactions at the moment, but I've been waiting on these for nearly 4 days now - can any one help, point me in the right direction or give me contact detail for Electrum customer support?

Electrum is not a company, they do not have a "customer service department".

I have moved your thread to the Electrum sub forum.

Please post the transaction ids for the transactions in question. There is likely no issue related to Electrum itself, especially if your are the recipient of a transaction.

Lots of discussion over at github.  If you take a few minutes and read around here you'll find many similar threads and you can learn alot from taking the time to study them.  If you don't mind you can post the transaction (TX) here and we can look at it for you.  Its ok if you don't want to.  We love to help out here and your thread has have been moved to the Electrum sub forum.  Feed us some info and a some of us will dive in and try to help.

One noteworthy starting point is to examine the fee you paid to make the transaction.  Is it sufficient to move the coins without much delay?

Now, to answer your question about your transactions... The most obvious issue is that your transactions use very low fees of 50 sats/bytes. At this moment, the recommended fees are well in excess of 200 sats/byte:

The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 280 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.

The current best transaction fees 243 Satoshis/byte | 0.00243 BTC/KB

Additionally, your 2nd transaction, is spending the output from the 1st (unconfirmed) transaction... so it won't be getting confirmed before the first one does.

You can use mocacinno's fee checker tool to get some tips (with links) on what you can do to get your transactions confirmed... including RBF or Replace-By-Fee (if you enabled it in Electrum), CPFP or "Child Pays For Parent", Using ViaBTC TX Accelerator (Free, but overloaded) or using BTC.com's TX Push (Paid service, possibly usable with Alipay).

Also, in future, you should make sure that you have enabled "Dynamic Fees" in Electrum's settings... this should help prevent you sending transactions with super low fees. It won't magically cure the Bitcoin network congestion... but it might help the chances of your TX being confirmed.

ViaBTC is fine, but crowded. You give them your tx ID and their pool will add it to one of the next blocks they mine. As simple as that. No risk.
The only problem is that many use it lately and it's harder and harder to get your tx Id accepted.
I would try to accelerate 65d4b53331a24dfdee6e91a34144645d6d2319213437db72af54ae490566f126 and after success, wait a couple of hours and accelerate the other tx.

If I get the chance, I will try to also accelerate this tx for you at ViaBTC.


Of course, contacting Quickseller or others to accelerate your tx is another possible option.

The screenshot is OK. That message means that they are full for now. I've got the same message.

Quickseller has a lot of negative feedback, but many tell that PM-ing him can solve your problem for a fee.
Just I don't know his fees and I cannot vouch for it either...

This quote can give you a rough idea of the fees he charged ahmedjadoon a few months ago. However, he will probably want higher fees today because the network's overloaded with 163100 unconfirmed transactions. Macbook-air also offers the same service as quickseller, and his feedback's better.

Both of them ore probably overwhelmed with requests to confirm trasactions, so they will probably take some time to respond.

You can contact either quickseller or macbook-air and offer a small payment to get your transaction confirmed fast.

This quote gives an example of how much they charge...

I faced a similar issue a few days back transaction not getting confirmed due to low fee but user "QuickSeller" got my transaction confirmed in minutes when I sent him 0.0001 BTC. He has access to some pool . PM him.

They can get F2Pool to confirm your transaction, so when it mines another block your transaction will probably get confirmed. You can see the times it mined its latest blocks here.

Thanks HI-TEC99, I'll drop Quickseller and Macbook-air an email with an offer. In the mean time I'll have another go at pushing it through the 'Transaction Accelerator'. 

Bitcoin, mining, wallets etc is becoming more understandable the more I read this forum, but does it really need to be so complex? Surely, this can all be simplified, I read major banks where accepting or considering to accept Bitcoin, but I can't see your average housewife getting their head round this at the moment.

I know Macbook-air runs a big mining pool, so he's highly unlikely to need to scam for tiny amounts of a Bitcoin. He only charged ahmedjadoon 0.0001 BTC to confirm his transaction last April. If he charges you two or three times as much you won't be risking more than 0.0002 or 0.0003 BTC for confirmation.

I checked macbook-air's profile, and unfortunately the last time he logged into bitcointalk was on May 07. However, quickseller logged in half an hour ago.

I dont know if i should start a new thread or use this one.
I have two transactions that is still unconfirmed after 3-10days with a high fee.

The txid is:

921bbe72909d8fd01c61735ad9d607cab816317f483ce99a7383874bb8a4d757

It was showing as incoming on the Electrum wallet, now its gone.
This has happend before, not for a long time like this.

The first one was sent with very low fee, so i used double spend to get a higher fee for the second transaction.

What should i do now?

Your 2nd fee is fine... however, it is spending an output from the 1st unconfirmed transaction 921bbe72909d8fd01c61735ad9d607cab816317f483ce99a7383874bb8a4d757 which is VERY large and only has a fee of around 49 sats/byte...

until that transaction confirms, there is ZERO chance your 2nd transaction with the decent fee will confirm. I'd suggest trying to accelerate that unconfirmed transaction first using the ViaBTC TX accelerator... Once it is confirmed, then your 2nd transaction with the nice 327 sat/byte fee should get a confirmation relatively quickly after that...

Note: You haven't done a double spend... you've attempted a "Child Pays For Parent"... and unfortunately, the two fees combined, don't make a great overall fee:

2439 bytes (1st trans) + 226 bytes (2nd trans) = 2665 bytes total...
0.0012 btc (1st trans) + 0.00074038 btc (2nd trans) = 0.00194038 btc = 194038 sats...

Overall Fee = 194038 sats / 2665 bytes = 72.8 sats/byte  

EDIT: I managed to accelerate the 921bbe72909d8fd01c61735ad9d607cab816317f483ce99a7383874bb8a4d757 transaction using ViaBTC... hopefully they'll mine a block soon and it will get confirmed. Once that happens, the 2nd one should get confirmed pretty quickly with a 327 sat/byte fee

So there is no need for me to try viabtc now then?

you should upgrade to the latest electrum version and enable dynamic fees under tools menu > preferences or this will keep happening.
