If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

I would imagine the scenario that OP suggests is happening in the market would have the manipulators focusing on the smaller alt-coins like feathercoin, ppcoin and litecoin. they would be easier to manipulate, some say the recent spike in LTC is due to this, but I believe it is more likely due to the vague mt.gox announcement that they will introduce it sometime possibly soon.

In the long run, manipulation means nothing because it is increasingly difficult to do as the market grows, look at forex. impossible to manipulate short of starting a world war. hold your coins. you will regret the x number of fiat dollars you might gain by daytrading and depleting your stash of crypto when the day comes that you can do any and all monetary transactions with it, and has thousands of times as much purchasing power as it does today.

The manipulators are planning world domination, this includes crushing, gold, silver, free markets, depositors savings. Bitcoins will be outlawed, made illegal, tarnished in the mainstream media. Regulations to close the main exchanges and regular Ddos on the main exchanges until then. Silk Road and any other popular markets that spring up will also be attacked with DDOS. They can't let free money exist.

I sense they are getting desperate control is slipping through their fingers, their last pump and dump hasn't killed off enthusiasm for bitcoins, already bitcoins are recovering from the crash. Muhahah

now this drivel is a waste of time and energy

Just read some of your last posts n all matey, so enlightening, I'm actually in awe of your obvious sparkling wit and repartee

I just had an epiphany. and I am being totally serious. I think I just figured out what might be being set up right now. Silkroad has been down now a few days, yet the message boards are still up. I was observing and alot of the posters were pissed more at the fact that they cant get their funds which in many of the irate posts, the majority were saying(the vendors) that they had bills to pay. so i am thinking when the road comes back up. expect a sell off. Could be made worse than it really is with carefully placed  market orders. Who knows.. mt gox or big players could be shorting right now, which could be the explanation of the sideways movement or slightly uptrend in the price.

You obviously need some understanding of what a pyramid scheme is.  Quit mindlessly repeating something you heard on some youtube video.  Bitcoin could fail (doubt it, though), but it won't be because it was a pyramid scheme.
