isn't the number shown the total bet on that country?
the number shown is the approximate price - i.e. the approximate dividend payable for 1 BTC investment.

Hi CoinBomb. There is some explanation about basic tote maths on the 'About' page. The underlying principle is that everyone bets into the common pool and then the money is divied up among the winners. Because each contestant carries a different investment - the dividends are also different. Contestants that are heavily backed are considered "favourites" - have a higher chance of winning and, consequently, pay a lower price. I.e. reward is directly proportional to risk.
