As I've mentioned, if you were to draw a Venn diagram of the points of intersection between liberals, progressives, libertarians, conservatives, communists and fascists - and all that lies between on the political spectrum - bitcoin would be the only point of intersection.

And frankly, we could use some serious play in the liberal/progressive community - especially in the US.  I note that Obama was elected to a second term, so there must be quite a few of them.

To start, here is a great site that is generally regarded as a sort of "Home Base" for new Bitcoin users, or those interested in learning more: https://www.weusecoins.com/en/. If following links from strangers on the internet isn't your thing, here's their most popular youtube video with an overview of Bitcoins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Um63OQz3bjo. Additionally, this site was founded by the developer of Bitcoin and this particular thread is a comprehensive overview of Bitcoins: https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=7269.0. The first Bitcoin ATM is going to be opened on may 2nd (https://www.bitcoinatm.com/). Also, paypal's CEO just recently came on the news and mentioned that they are looking into Bitcoin, and possibly adding it as a funding option. I would definitely mention Bitpay which is essentially the paypal of Bitcoin. It allows any company to add a bitcoin payment option to their website for free and then when anyone pays in Bitcoins, they immediately get converted into dollars (or whichever fiat) and deposited into the company's account with a fraction of the fee paypal or a credit card would charge and without any risk of chargebacks or double-spending which is a massive problem in the non-bitcoin world. I've mentioned Bitcoin a few times in their youtube comments, but the last time was at least a year ago.  Just in case one of the TYT guys is listening...

TYT were and are one of the best, but I lost interest after their atrocious performance on the gun control issue and have not paid much attention to them since.

I was really interested in the 'wolf-pac' thing but their analysis of the US constitution was so abysmal that I cannot justify supporting Cenk in any effort which would involve understanding of that document and the history behind it.

If/when I get back to following the TYT stuff I would be inclined to contribute only if I could do so using Bitcoin, and then only if I am in the mode of wishing to unload some of them.

I like Cenk, I think he'll be kinda fair, but remember he's still a statist at heart and would have more contempt than love for bitcoins when talking about matters of freedom.

I say make sure to keep him away from any questions the involve libertarianism/anarchy/decentralization.

Promote all the useful stuff to his viewer's world, like being able to pay for things by phone with miniscule fees and be sure to point him to that video from the Guardian about the Kreuzberg area of Berlin. That'll be perfect for his audience.

To me that sounds like you are trying to sell them Bitcoins, not teach them about it.

Why do I see people on one thread bitching about "Bitcoin Foundation takeover of Bitcoin" and lack of response to inquiries, and then on another thread people are recommending people be directed to them to respond to inquiries?

Why not refer newbies to Bitcoin Magazine's active journalist staff? They teach people about Bitcoin for a living and don't even charge 10,000 BTC to be a member!

To me that sounds like you are trying to sell them Bitcoins, not teach them about it.

Of course I am going to focus on the positives, but I feel that each topic I touched on is a talking point worth discussing, should they make a video on it.

Huh?  I spit on the ground every time I here the guys name.  Obama is hardly what I would call a liberal or a progressive.  I've never seen a bigger corporate lap-dog or a more scungy politician.  (My feelings are doubtlessly partially atributable to TYT's outstanding work on calling him out when he sells us out...which is on 99.9% of every issue he touches.)

There are not any.  It's a rigged game.  I should not admit it, but at the present time I am a closet Libertarian/Anarchist.  The  only reason is because that is the best path through the forest to something more sane.  There is no political system more disturbing to me than Fascism and no painless way to excise that cancer.
