Unconfirmed transactions (121,53 sat/B) and (1sat/B). Yes, I'm new to BTC.

I have two unconfirmed transactions.

The first transaction was an experiment to see how long it would take to get bitcoins sent with the lowest fee. The second is one is money i care about and "need".
I've spent some time trying to find a solution to the problem, and an explaination to why it happened. Obviously things didn't work out, so now I'm here. I contacted viaBTC after their accelerator told me my transaction "does not exist", and they told me it was a double spending. The transactions were sent from "Bitcoin Core v0.14.1", one 20 hours before the other.
I have also tried to contact "macbook-air" and "Quickseller" with no luck so far.

Is the second transaction stuck because of the first one, or does both simply have a too low of a fee for anyone to care about confirming it? Should I wait and pray or do something with it?

I cannot see the second transaction but your first transaction can be seen here: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/adceef304e538aff19fef8ce4713043ccda70c296113317753a1835f906f693b which has a fee of 0.00001000. Since it was rejected by blockchain, you can resend the amount adding the appropriate fee of atleast 0.0002 BTC (which will give it a higher priority to get confirmed). It seems the second transaction again had a low fee due to which it was removed from the network and viabtc doesn't accept transactions that are double-spends. Since your first transaction itself had a low fee and was rejected (still present in the network though), viabtc won't recognize it.

I checked both your transactions in blockchain.info, and the second transaction spends unconfirmed coins sent from the first transaction with the very low fee. The second transaction can't confirm until the first does.

A few minutes after I checked your low fee transaction I tried again, but blockchain.info's node had already forgotten about it.



The node connected to the blockcypher explorer still shows your transaction.

I got the raw format of it from blockcypher and tried pushing it through blockchain.info's transaction pushing tool. However it rejected it with an error message that it was transaction version 2.

Yeah, its seems that blockchain ?dropped? the transaction for lack of a better word literally seconds after I posted this thread.

What now? Is there any way I can get the bitcoins back?

Eventually all the nodes in the Bitcoin network will forget about your transaction if you do nothing. Afterwards your coins should return to your wallet and be spendable again. However some wallets keep resending unconfirmed transactions, so it might be best to close your wallet and check your address through a block explorer.

Blockcypher is usually one of the last explorers to remember a transaction.

A moderator here posted a guide explaining your options for dealing with a stuck transaction. One of your options is to do nothing and wait until you get your bitcoins back.

If the transaction is forgotten and I keep my wallet shut for the time being to stop it from resending the transaction wouldn't it resend once I open the wallet back up?

What do you think about what "erikalui" said. Could I resend the amount with a higher fee to push both transactions? Would that affect the second transaction of 122 sat/B?

I can ignore it for a week or two if that guarentees that the bitcoins will be back. But if the other option is "safer" I would rather go with that.

However, it says core will rebroadcast unconfirmed transactions every 30 minutes while the sender keeps his wallet open. If you read the whole thread it explains how to deal with unconfirmed transactions, but as it's from 2013 it might be out of date. I'm sure other users here can advise you better than me about core.
