I just noticed that my bitcoin client isn't installed anymore.  Does this mean I've been hacked?

No, just me.  It was running a couple of days ago.  Now just not there, and the shortcut fails.

Iv had the bitcoin.exe dissapear, I just reinstalled.
My whole bitcoin folder disappeared.  That sounds suspicously like a malware exploit that tries to stop you from transferring out while the hacker grabs your money.

When I reinstalled BitCoin, all the money was still there.  So I'm not sure what happened.

For now. I'd quickly send to a secure wallet until you figure it out!

Thanks for the advice.  I'm doing that right now, after reading the secure walle thread.

You would have to find any remnants on your hard drive. On windows a normal delete doesn't fully delete it. You can sometimes recover it. Securely deleting it and it's gone forever. If you can't recover the wallet your BTC that it contained are gone forever. That's why a safe backup is always needed.
