11日晚间，新疆喀什地委宣传部在塔什库尔干县召开新闻发布会称，塔县地震共造成8人死亡、29人受伤，房屋倒塌3千余间，经济损失逾8亿元(人民币，下同)。
据中新社报道，据抗震救灾指挥部初步统计，截至11日18时，地震共造成8人死亡、29人受伤，1.2万人受灾。倒塌房屋537户3015间，倒塌羊圈3500座，800多头(只)牲畜死亡，受损大棚150座等，地震共造成经济损失8.64亿元。
据介绍，地震发生后，塔什库尔干县出动部队、武警、公安民警、“访惠聚”驻村工作队和基层干部民众2200余人现场开展搜救工作，摸排受灾情况。喀什地区第一人民医院分四批组成34人医疗救护队、第二人民医院分两批21人已分别到达灾区对受伤民众开展救治工作。喀什地区疾控中心10名工作人员也已赶赴灾区开展疫情监控防控工作。
