英国的医院怀疑受全国性的网络攻击，多地的医院被迫转移紧急状况病人的治疗地点。
电脑系统遭到袭击的包括管理伦敦主要医院的巴兹医疗集团（Barts Health group），集团管理的主要医院有伦敦皇家医院（The Royal London）和圣巴塞洛缪医院（St Bartholomew's）。
巴兹医疗集团发布的公告说：“我们正在经历重大的电脑中断事故，所有医院的工作都受延误……我们已经启动了重大事故应对计划，以确保我们能够维持患者的安全和福利，救护车正在转移到邻近的医院。”

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.
