马来西亚媒体日前指中国发展商碧桂园的森林城市工程聘用大量中国黑工，森林城市今天表示正协助马来西亚政府彻查此事，并强调将绝不允许承包商雇用黑工。
“当今大马”周二指森林城市地宿舍有不少中国客工持着旅游签证而非工作签证，他们日夜在森林城市地盘工作数个月。他们虽知自己是黑工，雇主也借此一再拖欠工资。他们担心一旦向大使馆或执法单位抗议将立即遭遣返而不敢吭声。
碧桂园森林城市首席战略官于润泽今天在声明中表示，相关工程的本地与外国劳工的招募、聘用及发薪，都由承包商与次级承包商负责。他指承包商可能经由中介公司招募外国劳工，但森林城市完全没有参与这些过程。
