Hmm good question... I don't know either..but I shall play along...kinda like "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop.

Is there a counter somewhere that I can see to check my progress?  Its a bit annoying having to be "active" on a forum for four hours...that's a pretty long time.

logged in time is at top of page too, no need to go to a stat's page

A "post" is any time you make a comment on the board. That could be a reply to an existing "thread," or a new "thread which you create.

EDIT: And with this post, I am out of noob jail! Hip hip hooray! Smiley

Did I help you today, or just like my style? Toss a couple coins my direction!

I see that now as well, I had the header collapsed so I didn't see all that stuff up there.

I though I was clear either post or replies they both count. You have a post count under your name when that says 5

I have 6 posts but still no reply button in non-newbie threads. Do I have to do something else?

Oh nevermind, just saw that I need 4 hours ontime. Wonder how that's counted, no doubt I've been on this forum at least 10 hours over the last 2 days, maybe I haven't been signed in.
