Am considering starting an experimental Project called BitLand — it's simply a cyber Country of thousands to millions of Citizens.
Bitland will be a full fledged cryptocurrency based Country on the Internet with Virtual Government, Virtual Schools (online/real schools), Insurance, Factories, Business, Security Network, Intelligence unit, Tax system, Welfare scheme, emergency toll-free numbers, Health units, etc
Bitland will be ran on Blockchain to encourage Transparency. Imagine Citizens are able to view all incoming & outgoing taxes in the Country(Bitland), Participate in transparent elections,

What's great about cryptocurrency is that you can incorporate something digital into a very real and non-virtual world. The point is that the virtual currency can help replace an inefficient tangible currency that is mostly centralised. I could understand if you'd want to create a virtual currency but what use would it have in a virtual world? Are you proposing this to have any practical use or is it just an idea you had that's similar to the Sims?

We already have Bitland which is a decentralized country with bitcoin as it's currency along with other altcoins as well. Are you going to animate Wu and BU? if you promise to remove them completely I might even donate some coins. Even if it's in a virtual world without them is a blessing

What you like to add in your proposed project sound quite interesting but how you gonna manage to grab enough funds to make all your imagination possible. You can start selling some ETH based tokens with ICO and before that you have to write down good roadmap and whitepaper for your project.

I don't get it, a virtual country? How does it work? Is it like a virtual reality of life that you can live in it and just don't care about anything in the real world anymore? Am considering starting an experimental Project called BitLand — it's simply a cyber Country of thousands to millions of Citizens.
Bitland will be a full fledged cryptocurrency based Country on the Internet with Virtual Government, Virtual Schools (online/real schools), Insurance, Factories, Business, Security Network, Intelligence unit, Tax system, Welfare scheme, emergency toll-free numbers, Health units, etc

And btw, you said something about the government. Then who's gonna be the president?

People pay taxes to create and maintain infrastructure like roads and sewerage systems and electricity networks. Now you want people to pay more tax for "virtual" services? In my country rich people are taxed the most and middle class people are basically milked to pay for the poor.
How will your tax structure work? < Rich & Middle class & Poor people paying the same taxes? >
Governments use the tax system to manage poverty and to channel money from middle class and rich people to assist in rendering services to poor people. How will you handle this?

The idea seems cool..
But as some other people I also put in the question..
A virtual Nation.
How would it work?
How would my hard earned Bitcoins that I pay in tax to the central government be spent on something that will help me, so I get something out of the money I pay in Tax.

Have you ever heard about the game "Second life"? I quess you are trying to build something similar, but bitcoin related. Maybe you should start a crowfunding project, but i don`t see any point in this idea.

Cool and Good idea but the main concern here is the interest of people because in order to make this project funds would really be mainly needed because creating a virtual country or even city would really cost you to start up and you will really need lots of users acts as citizens on it but thinking off why we would do select to engage on this project since we are already on a new digital currency system? Even though its still not considered but we already making a step.

Wow that is a good project I see there. Bit land could be great currency as you looking after its creativity personally. I liked your point that it would be used for trades in different way, lending, and all could be different things as long as it builds trust amongst the people.

This sounds like anarcho-capitalism - extraterritorial and voluntary union of people that form their own country regulated by (smart)contracts. Maybe in 20-30 years it will be big and there will be dozens of virtual countries all over the world. If so, it can achieve a whole new level of freedom for individuals as well as peace and economic prosperity.

I literally spend most of the time on the internet so I can escape from the world I did not create.I don't want to face another Tax System when one has already devastated the Universe stealing happiness from everybody's lives. Bitland will be ran on Blockchain to encourage Transparency. Imagine Citizens are able to view all incoming & outgoing taxes in the Country(Bitland), Participate in transparent elections

Thats an interesting project but needs a lot of hardwork and money, anyway its a good social experiment as well. Lets see how we can adopt real life to virtual land economically, lets give it a go!

Similar to the game ExtraMileGames is currently working on - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1907734 - but on a larger scale. The problem with your idea is that the system will be just too big and will takes a few years and a lot of investment to make it possible. Games like The Sims and Second Life takes a lot of hardwork and investment to make. Unless you have the experience and money, you shouldn't start it. Instead, maybe if you know Unity, you can join with ExtraMileGames and create a smaller scale version of your idea.

NIce Idea. But how? You need massive tons of money. Trillions. We could actually make this. If every single bitcoin user gives all his bitcoins for funding

If you think about it, we are already close to having a virtual country.
-- The Internet for communication and fact-gathering everywhere -- TOR for more private use of the 'Net -- VPNs to make communication more secure -- Bitcoin for transactions -- Deliveries by Amazon, etc.
I am sure I've missed an item or two. And technology is advancing rapidly (Virtual Reality will play a role before long, IMO).
It's coming to a computer near you soon.
