Hello Guys!

I came to this forum because I wanted to engage in IXC but at the same time, looking at how wide spread this forum is, I was looking for help from the mods to contact Btc-e to help me.

Here's my story:

I've been with Btc-e probably since 2011 ...

My account is in an excellent state - and I've traded 100s on Bitcoins throughout the years.

I've always had a dedicated IP address with my ISP, so , I thought to add my IP address in my Whitelisting security section to add another security layer to my account. Then, my ISP decided to change my IP without informing me, I tried to get back my old static IP , but my ISP informed me that they dropped this IP and claimed a new one, and this is when I decided to contact BTCe for support.

After about a week of TOTALLY ignoring me... I emailed them, and I wrote on their twitter account, then I got a message asking me 3 questions:

1- Last Three Deposits.
2- Last three transactions.
3- Your old IP.

I answered ALL their questions (WITH Screen Shots) , Plus, I sent them even more documents like my passport. They promised to un-whitelist my IP as soon as I answer - and here's almost another week without even bothering to reply.

I opened other tickets, they would close them in about 4 hours (so they see all my complaints) , and they kept just one ticket opened marked as Private in red!

I lost 50% of the value of my account !! Yes, 50% !!!!!!!!! I was fully loaded with NMC, was planning to sell at $2.5 - I got locked out , and they kept me locked - I saw it at $2.7 , still locked - and now , it's almost $1.6+- and I am still locked!

Even a very gentle moderator in this forum tried to help, but they also ignored him as well... What's going on Btce?

There are several similar threads outlining similar selective scam attempts from BTC-E.

They hope that they can give some outrageously pointless means of proving your ownership that you won't be able to do so that they can accuse you of fraud.  If you manage to do it, they will ignore you.

Fortunately they do still seem to care about their reputation being completely destroyed.  What you need to do is kick up a giant fuss on here and several other communities and forums, then link them to everything you're doing.  Eventually they're likely to cave and you can withdraw your coins to a safer exchange like Bitstamp or Coinbase.

I appreciate your input and believe me, that's what I am gonna do - you can ask me nicely and own it all - but do it that way is a "No No" - don't really enjoy being butt slapped the way they do it. It's becoming more of a principle here!

They're making good money off of transactions, why scamming people is totally beyond me!

Thanks again bud,

I went through the same issues as you for almost two weeks and after complete silence, they responded to my original ticket and said that everything was verified and that the account was unlocked. So, hopefully they will do the same for you, best of luck!

I hope so too - thanks for your wishes... but again, the point is: they have to be more responsible - if you have cash only in the account, you can wait few weeks no problem, but if you have a speculative opened position and the market is going against you, they should give their customers more respect to their money and opportunities!

I , in this case, have lost the whole $1 profit per coin, and now 20 cents BELOW cost!!

Thanks again for your wishes, I hope they get more serious about their business ...

I’m sorry for you dude, but it is obvious they don’t care but if for some reason you get control of your account then get your money out of there as soon as possible and then keep warning other users abut the practices this exchange engages so other persons are not caught in it.

I have a similar issue going on with my BTC-E account.  I had a 2 factor authenticator set up on my old phone.  Being dumb I never saved the key.  Long story short I lost the phone and access to my account.  I contacted them about 2FA unlinking.  They asked for:

My IP address
Past three deposits
And how I load my account.

I sent all the information over to them.

Then they ask for a picture of me holding my passport and a note with the current date on it.

Sent that to them also.

It is going on two weeks with no response.  The ticket is still open but I can't get any reply.

Hopefully they get both our issues resolved.

If any BTC-E support reads this it's ticket# ZAK-406-99781

To the OP, I hope we both get these issues fixed.  There was some nice earning potential in the previous weeks we missed out on.

They locked me out and I have 711 LTC valuing close to $25,000!!! I don't know what to do. Iv contacted an attorney in Manhattan and was advised to try and contact simone working with FinCEN (financial crimes). It appears as though we're being screwed out of our investments. At this point I'm filing a report with the us financial crimes network. This is a criminal act. This is our money and these people are widthhding it. They are running websites selling a service to Americans without internet restrictions. They must follow US law. At this point I'm willing to turn over all documents to the federal government and claim it as a $25,000 loss. The more we report this website the sooner the owners end up on the FBIs most wanted list
