Old thread got locked: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0I see a lot of people waiting for a target of $2000 to sell at. And it's true, I also think it's possible we'll see a dip at $2k or somewhere close, but do you really think it will be exactly $2k? If that's where the traders are going to dump, then wouldn't a bit *before* $2k be better? "AHA!" You say. "So I'll be even *smarter* and sell *before* the before." Good luck with that, but you're not going to take my BTC when you buy back in. And what if there's no dip at all? It's entirely possible that we blow right past $2k in the beginning of a new bull run with no bounce at all, and my god I would hate to be holding a bag of fiat then. It's becoming more and more clear that the fiat bag is very real and will make a visit to your country someday, like some kind of crypto-Santa, handing out bags of monopoly money to the nonbelievers. When that day comes, I hope you're on his good list. tl;dr: I am still hodling, suck it day traders

HODL until after the next halving gentlemen
That seems to be the strategy of a lot of people here. The uptick really started last year, coinciding with the halving. If you can hold for another 3-4 years, then nothing like it. Bitcoin will really be over the moon by then.

HODL until after the next halving gentlemen
Sound advice. I'm hoping though, that as we approach the next halving, more people will have accepted Bitcoin for transactions. Would be nice to actually spend Bitcoin directly rather than having to convert to fiat first. bitpay works pretty smoothly tbh. the problem is the coin you spent going up 10% before your parts arrive in the mail :/ I did it though. Popped my real world goods transaction cherry on newegg. was surprisingly painless.

Hi! How are you HODLing? BTC now is $11700 HODLing strong....very strong & not remotely planning to get out yet. Transferred around half of my BCH into bitcoin & spent, well still spending the rest. Good times. No selling bitcoin until after the next halving.

FUCKING HODL
It is quite nostalgic visiting a thread posted months ago and the topic still revolved on Bitcoin at the $2,000 range. Oh, how I wish we can really get back in time and hoard as much Bitcoin as we can...but sadly there is no time machine that we can use to safely travel to and fro. All we can do is do it right now and hope that the future would be smiling to us with a good fortune we have gathered somewhere digitally. Bitcoin has been surging for the past many weeks and though am sure people are so happy with this amazing development, we can also sense some fear for the possible big correction. This and more is part of the ongoing Bitcoin drama and a roller coaster ride all 'hodlers' have to experience firsthand. More power to all of us!

"Here's to the crazy ones, the HODLERS, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see the market differently -- they're not fond of ATHs... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push BITCOIN forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can HODL forever, are the ones who do"

Not only you everyone wish to get back at that time so that they can buy more and HODL them but unfortunately this ain't possible, but as i always said and believe that "its never too late" so instead of keeping regrets lets work for tomorrow. One more thing needed is circulation in market which is really important for economy and to make market alive so we will also need more shops and retailers to accept bitcoin in future so that we can directly use our savings instead of converting them.
