myetherwallet is not the best eth wallet in my opinion because there were many phishing attempts on the website.
The best ethereum wallet is your own wallet, on your pc. You have full control of your wallet.
If you have some money, you can buy ledger wallet of course, it is a hard wallet.

If you regularly use a laptop or personal computer, I think MEW is always the best option. Also, if you use a smartphone, you should not ignore Trust wallet, which is one of the best apps on the phone for you to use.

at first I used myetherwallet, but first MEW didn't have an application so I made a wallet in MEW then used the ImToken application which was very easy to use. I heard now that MEW has an official application but I haven't tried it yet

I always keep every coin to the best wallet recommended by the team behind the coin / token. It is not difficult to keep all your wallet information on an external hard or even make 2 or 3 copies on many USBs. My best Ethereum wallet is trust wallet. This is because I can easily access DAPPS using ETH via trust wallet by going to the DAPPS section, opening the dapp website and clicking "connect wallet". There are lots of wallets these days. For me the best one is ledger hardware wallet. If you cannot afford that then metamask is the best option.

Apart from myether wallet, I am using Burberry wallet. Till now I didn't experience any issues using it. So it's best for me.

After much thought, I decided to opt for Ledger. Although I still use Myetherwallet, but the safety of my altcoins is a very important aspect for me.
