With paypal investing into Bitcoin other companies will see it and race to implement BTC. Nobody wants to be the last one left behind.

I suspect governments will give Paypal some reasons/threats not to incorporate bitcoins into their payment network.
Maybe its just the paranoid skeptic in me.

At least Paypal is thinking about it.   That is encouraging.  And if it does happen, it will be a fun ride for sure.
