Hi Everyone - just wanted to say hello and mention I'm a long time lurker - first time poster.
Got involved with Bitcoins in 2011 just didn't have the money and only used CPU's - managed to garner 5 after a while and I guess it fell out of favour.
Taking way too long - so I switched my focus onto folding@home and always had a seti search in the background.
Well, I wanted to wade in again recently and started up a new wallet - things are much easier right now!
I'm still behind the ball on mining and there's no way I have enough to purchase bitcoins but it was exciting to get back into it.
My Main PC has a N8400 with 4 cpu cores - that got about 1.6Mhash/s
second PC has a Radeon 5450 and got a whopping 13.5 Mhash/s
I know this is relatively non-existant but I know the ASIC's are coming and wanted to setup before they came out.
I purchased a Jalapeno about a month ago and just waiting for them to be released. I know it's minimal but it's mine and I'm hoping to be on the last wave.
So to diversify, I also got into LiteCoins and just finished setting that up.
Well, I said my hello and introduced myself. Hope to see you around.

Cheers!

Any word from butterfly if yours will be coming soon? I also purchased one a couple of weeks ago and would like to get an idea if they are keeping to the 2-3 months plan.

Nothin - like at ALL. Just acceptance of payment. What did you get? man I'd love one of those 50 GH/s but wonder how practical it will be. It will be interesting once they outlive the usefulness how they can be modified - even at all - but hey i guess we'll see.
The FAQ does say end of April and we've all seen the samples for the Press - I estimate they will deliver them by the end of the month, maybe 2. Meanwhile the difficulty goes up and up....

picked up 2 jalapenos. I would like to get the 25 but not in the budget. Currently I am mining at just over a GH/s which seems mind numbingly slow> I would like to get another 7870 or 7950 but hard to justify getting 400-500 MH when I can get 5-6 Gh for the same price. Of course 500 MH now may be worth 5 GH later.  Cry
