Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Yeah, but people were thinking like that as Qora hit the exchanges at 100 sats. So I would have lost 80% till today.

why does it have to be an IPO?

I'm pretty annoyed with myself.

Missed nxt.

sent a little bit of money to edgecoin (not much, thank god)

Missed Qora.

got in on the freebie part of eXo, but didn't invest, because I was skeptical

blah.

I've admitted to myself that I can't pick 'em.

So I'm asking you guys, are there any good IPOs going on right now? Why is it a good IPO?

The only reason you should invest in an IPO is if the developer is a reputed/ a knowledgeable  person.
Else you should steer away. Most of them are empty promises.

I notice most of the recent ones have plenty of promises, but no fully working beta.

They seem to be becoming increasingly berserk in terms of the upfront BTC they're asking.

If I liked some of the actual systems themselves, I'd be looking to buy post launch for some as there's no way they can justify the initial IPO price.

Yes, agreed. Most of the IPO right now, just put up a powerpoint/whitepaper and then ask for money. The real system will take months to implement.

If we have to wait months, it's a bit of a gamble that someone else won't ninja launch something better while we are waiting.
