I'm fairly sure it will be a good miner, or at least has the potential for it if the software is adjusted etc.

I'm going to be a bit bummed if they only release this in June and not any normal consumer level Vega parts. I was hoping to see the price on the upper end GTX 1000 series to drop a bit.
