It depends on what kind of trading your into, there is long term which takes around 6 months or more or you can go for short term trading which takes around a day or week or a month.

It all depends on you If you think you made a good profit then sell. It can take hours or less for short trading and a year or more for long trading. Learn where to exit when scalping. And patience is the key for Long trading. Or you can do both.

It depends on the type of trading you want to do, if you want to do short time/daily basis trading then you even trade within few hours or minutes also. If you want to do long time trading it needs few weeks or months or sometimes years.

6 months involving trading should be considered as investment because investment is also a kind of trading. There is a type of trading which is termed as scalping in forex trading which needs just minutes to find a result. Traders just go for ups and downs of price movements and keep on entering and booking profits. On the other hand traders do go for month long trading too.

A trading strategy which follows updating target and stop-loss levels based on current trend must be a very good way of trading. This type of trading usually will take months to book profits and stop-loss levels just above entry also will guarantee minimum profits.

Trading is basically short term and relies on technical analysis for how much time you will need to trade to reach your target.
Though upward target does not always hits as its for so much short period of time and for that much time, market is really volatile and fluctuating always.
Also one can do day trading if he knows that he will reach his target. If you are trading its better to square off nearly soon as you reach your target.

How long does a trade take?

It all depends on when you decide to go out of the market. It has no specific long period of time, as all depends on whether you have reach your target profit or not before you place a sell other. And on the other hand, if you discovered that the market is going against your buy other you can equally place a sell other to avoid lost of your fund.

You can't become a trader over night and you can't make some profit over night, it takes time. People often think that trading is some method that enables you to become rich very quickly, you just have to buy low and sell high. But things are far more complicated than this and it will take months before you achieve some result.

How long does a trade take?

i think we know that doing trading can take a longer if the price is not increase so we can sell for getting profit. in one night, we can make big profit and earn big money but we don't know when its happen. all we can do is doing more trading to earn more money and if we can this with keep focus to trading then i think we can getting rich in a short time. the more we do in trading is can give us opportunity so we can earn more money.

The fact is your really cannot set a time schedule for your trading, you could speculate that a particular coin could rise at a given time but it wont be certain as anything could happen.@ OP if you are looking for the amount of time to be profitable then that is the answer,if you are in profit then you could trade them if there is enough buyers,it all depends upon how much buyers are there.

Everyone has different profit targets, please set yourself how long will last for the greatest gain. If that's enough, that's your time.

In my opinion not all trades can get big profits in a relatively short time. As well as the possibility of investing in a short time of course will not get maximum results as expected.

Short time trading is not for newbie since transaction is fast and if you are new without research on any coin, you might end up as a bagholder or either you wait the price to rise and got profit. I do short trading also but I did not buy from Sell order, but instead put my Buy Order, when it is filled then its good. I set my price for the lowest  deep the coins possible they can dump.

But new traders are not having patients to wait for longer period to find a results and this is the reason they prefer short term trading regardless of how much risks are involved with it.

In my opinion, a trader should never look at time frame of a trading event. He must be ready to wait infinitely, so that he will be capable of facing any results and regardless of any result he may go for another trading with full mind set up.

How long does a trade take?

It depends on you and depends on the market movement. Some altcoins are very stable so you should wait more time to trade so you'll get profit. However, some altcoins are not stable so it's better to trade with it with a short period of time to eliminate the risk. In my point of view, there is no certain time on how long does a trade take.

That question totally depends on you the trader and the type of trade he/she wants to carry out...
there are three types of trades classified in terms of time,, we have short term, medium term and of course long term
short term traders are daily traders their trades can last any thing within minutes, hours and small amount of days..
medium term traders are targeted traders the once which only sell when a certain condition is attained they can last for several days and weeks and months
long term traders are actually called investors to some extend because they put their money in a project and rip out gain after a long time months and years can pass by,..
but again the definition of a short , medium and long term trade still depends on the individual. what i have listed above is the average i have seen a result of combining many opinions from other traders and myself...

What do you mean by trade? If you are talking about trading cryptocurrency then it is easy to trade because it need only a broker and your cryptocurrency and you can sell it in just a few seconds after the deposit has been made. Most of the trades are easy and it is not complicated but you need to make sure that you are trading to make profits and not to get a loss.

Depends on what amount you have set on it and how much longer you can take to hold on your beloved coins since all trades matter on your decision, And you should take wise counter action before casting your decision since you might gonna lose some profits nor capital if you patience is quitely bad upon executing some trades on fellow altcoin alive there.

How long does a trade take?

All will depends upon the traders that how much time he can hold his loss and can trun into profit .
If the trader is making day and trading then I am sure that he will not hold his trading with particular coin for long run or more than one week . But if a trader is having a patience to hold the coins and have confidence that he can make loss into profit with long time hold , then in that case we can't sure that how much time will take for him to get profit .
Here I myself making trade with coins and sometimes it takes three months ( atmost in my life of trading job ) but one of my friend hold coins for two years also ( that seams unbelievable ) for me also .

If you own the trusted account in any popular exchange, you can get the trade continuously if your trade set value is applicable for the people who need to sell or buy the bitcoin.
Once anyone opens the trade with you need to make the payment or wait to receive the payment. You have available cash and bitcoins in your wallet according to the trade that is must need to follow.
