There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Quote
All Users: Due to extremely high congestion across the entire bitcoin network, transaction confirmations on both deposits and withdrawals are taking much longer than usual.
We have increased our withdrawal fee and minimum withdraw amount as a result.
Please support raising the bitcoin block size if you would like to see this situation resolved and fees lowered again.

You can also try submitting your transaction ID's to the viaBTC mining pool transaction accelerator, found here: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ (hint: customer-only accelerations available if you buy mining hash power)
