double spend electrum

Hi,

Im trying to cancel my unconfirmed transaction but electrum wallet doesnt broadcast my new transaction it says 258: txn-mempool-conflict.

Can i somehow escape it?

That error means that the node has a transaction that spends a same input as the transaction you want to broadcast. Nodes do not broadcast transactions that has conflicting inputs and your transaction cannot get propagated.

What is your transaction and what client are you using? You have to wait for the transaction to be dropped out from the mempool in the majority of the nodes on the network.
