Either that, or I'm running the equivalent of some low-level star in my bedroom.

Apparently, my Radeon HD 4xxx series card has a shader core temperature of 2,147,483,520 degrees celsius.

I find this oddly hilarious.

Any other funny stories of faulty hardware?

My 5850 has previously reported temperatures of around 260 C, which I can only assume are incorrect.  Grin

Oh, and the hottest stars are only about 72,000 F (http://www.universetoday.com/24596/what-is-the-hottest-star/), so you may want to keep an eye on that card, if it gets any hotter, it may become dangerous.  Wink
