demand. that's the only thing.

it would be no work at all to implement it. however i think the people actually using crypto for something are probably way fewer than we expect.

developers can come up with all the cool tricks they want, but it's down to the users to take it and run with it.

most users are only in it for the dollars. there's more dollars to be made elsewhere.

ok here is something that always bugs me. let me share it with you as an answer.
the security of a cryptocurrency comes from its decentralization and the security of network. and nodes help acheive that. and the more users run full nodes the better the security will be. and that is true for bitcoin and by extentions for litecoin since it is a copy.

now litecoin has 4 times more blocks than bitcoin and i am not sure about its block size and if it has any limit. but imagine LTC was adopted and got spam attacked for 1-2 years like bitcoin has.
BTC blockchain size is 100+GB, now let me ask you this. will you run a full node that requires storage of 500 GB blockchain and requires a huge bandwidth because every 2 minutes a new block is mined and you need to get it and verify it and all that.

now how many people who are bothered with 100 GB do you think will be bothered with 500 GB?

ltc can't be spam attacked in the same way bitcoin can. this was noticed and patched by charlie lee a long time back.

For me I think most crypto users and companies stop adopting litecoin possible of the lack of demands and popularity of litecoin. Nowadays, bitcoin has been continuosly in demand and been popular in any countries. Thats attracts to many users.

Litecoin is good but it's to early they have just updated, give it more a year or two when they see volume and price is increasing they will add it but of course not as equal as Bitcoin,Bitcoin still rules.

People don't use litecoin. For the longest time noone was talking about it. It is basically just faster than BTC and that is all it was. They waited wayy to long to put upgrades into it. It has become irrelvant so much that ETH went from 60 cents to being worth 128, that is 213 times your money if you had one. Litecoin is never going to do that again it just isn't in favor with anyone. News and people talking about a coin = huge demand. There is no demand.

Demand and the fact that it's the biggest one out there, also the price and the support it is getting. I don't really know, I have never got into Litecoin that much, but as someone who's starting to get into alt-coins a little bit more, I can tell you that I rarely get to see lite-coin in the sea of alt-coins.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

Another factor is the pump and dump coins, it is really famous to those who just want to get into big waves created by whales. But eventually, people will soon recognize the value of LTC.

Let Litecoin die in peace

Then you are saying let altcoin adoption die.

LTC already has achieved more than all other altcoins combined in history.
You little idiot noobs don't know that because you are noobs.

@European Central Bank
I agree..
And it makes me think of the services out there.. many have vanished.
Late 2013 there was some random places out there that accepted crypto..
many are long gone (or related services)

All this bullshit is about now is ROI'z on Poloniex.
The demand isn't there because theses brats that showed up late are looking at Charlie Lee and mouthing him off saying "Why didn't you get our coin adopted yet ?"
That would be your job profiteers  Roll Eyes

What are you even doing here people ?
Stomp around declaring LTC is dead ?
Show some god damn respect to a founding father of crypto you snot nose little pricks.
Who the fuck do you think you are popping up here talking shit about LTC you little fucking brats ?

You want a coin used then go out and make it happen idiots.
Get off your fucking ass greedy mouthy brats.

Or loiter around here making accounts and crying FUD for bucks $$$

FUD first & ask questions later™

Litecoin is still probably the best way to transfer funds between exchanges etc.

If any big sites or stores start accepting LTC payments price could easily double or triple,
or become a real competitor to coins like Dash and Eth which may be a little overvpriced right now.

(Dont even get me started on Dash that coin makes my head hurt.)

There can be faster coins than BTC but in reality when those 2nd layers solutions will come to BTC BTC will have 0 confirmations time with high saciurity .
There is no feature that would not be adopted by BTC maybe not POS system directly or other stuf like that .
BTC is not to be best crypto but best e-gold deflationary money with fixed cap.
Sure you will fin better ddaily currency but if you ant keep HIGH amounts of money secure BTC will be best thing to use.
BTC is not king on fancy features but probably best store of wealth by design.
