You now have came to the right point. You are not only one who faced delay in your payment update but there are many users who had similar issie on coinbase. I have earlier predicted , i still recommend you to choose another wallet.

Thats why i switch to xapo and abandon coinbase. Before i like coinbase but the problems appears day by day as the bitcoin price rising ,then add the high fees on every transaction you will do.

Coinbase will asks you 0.00059 btc as fees for the every transaction and I noticed two days before, they bannered the text as the transaction may be delay due to lack mining and network for a transaction. I think this could be a reason for this delay but I use coinbase from the day I started into the forum. Much faster than blockchain and another wallet. |

Why still using this wallet? They already scam a lot of their customers. There's a lot of good wallet out there which is good and safer than Coinbase. Don't use online wallet to avoid this kind of experience. Just use Electrum or Mycelium if you want safer wallet. You don't have full control on your funds when you are using online wallets. So avoid using them.

Its good to you mate that you early abandon coinbase and i will recommend that before you create a online wallet you should need do some background check if the services of the wallet is good or there is some bad accusation. Me i used some online wallet but i do not keep bitcoin there i only used them for receiving then i always transfer it in my local bitcoin wallet for security purposes. |

This seems bad move by one best online wallet provider coinbase. I use electrum and blockchain wallet. For me both seems best to use it. For my saving I prefer my desktop wallet electrum due to it's feature. Electrum better than multibit or any desktop wallet. |

Experienced members here are not recommending coinbase wallet. Electrum or exodus full multi wallet is the better alternative. Your funds is not in your hands to control so better stay away from using wallet in exchangers. Keep only what you want to transact in online wallets, that too on electrum. Everything else should be in the cold storage or offline wallets. You can't trust coinbase on your funds, I have never suggested it to anyone for keeping any funds. |

We face lots of problems on coinbase like high fee, late confirmation, signature issue.my some payment rejected that's I receive from bitcointalk tasks. I think we all face those problems I hope its solve as soon as possible.anyone can give us a suggestion which wallet are best for low fee quick confirmation.thanks  |

Sorry to say but xapo and coinbase basically are same i mean centralized wallet. i had a bad experience with xapo they locked my account for some reasons that i don't know exactly what it is. I personally will not use this kind of service anymore since they can controll your money they can do whatever they want like freeze it, lock it of even worse. Better to have your money on your own pocket, however if you are looking for simplicity i think there are some wallet which better than either xapo oe coinbase where you can controll your private key. |

It's not a trust issue. No online wallet or exchange sites can be trusted. It's about being aware about your funds and knowing how to hold them for years without getting scammed. Using an offline cold storage is the best solution for long term holding. |

Why are half the people on this thread so desperate to terrify themselves?
You don't move away to Coinbase to run to Xapo. They're the same thing - an only just regulated third party which you are trusting with your funds.
You might as well be trusting a bank that has only existed for five years and isn't insured.
Electrum or a TREZOR or both are right there in front of your face, and they're not actually less convenient than an online wallet really. They do have much better fee estimation and options though.

Actually it was on around 100k satoshis the last time I did some transactions there. Everything went smooth just like my usual transaction even the network is congested but with the current bitcoin price, 100k satoshis a good amount to considered by an average bitcoiner so the fees provided is somehow not that cheap. I suggest to OP to flood Coinbase support as only them can answered you clearly. |

That was scary specially when you have big funds. I used coinbase before but now i switch to other platform. Maybe ill try offline wallet soon plan to secure my funds very well.
