Sorry, I didn't mean it as an allegation. That's why I asked for your comment. I'm merely reporting what my anti-virus reported. No worries, I'll whitelist, false positive I guess Smiley

No problem, I appreciate you letting us know! I just wanted to make sure that no one got the wrong idea, we're not the NSA or CIA or anything. Appreciate you passing along the info, which AV do you use? I would like to contact them to see about getting them to fix the issue so other users don't get confused when they install it.

I'm using Windows Defender with Windows 10 1703. It does a pretty good job usually, I think this is the first false positive.

PS: Got it up and running, but it just seems to be a miner for a pool... Any instructions on how we can use this with solo mining?

Annnnddd we're good to go, you can now mine using the binaries in the GitHub repo! Whoever find's the first block please come back and let us know, we're not going to be mining until then.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, this is only for a mining pool, if you are interested in solo mining, I can walk you through how to get the sources to run on windows over jabber or skype, it's not too difficult. Or you can hang around for another 30 minutes or so, I'm almost done putting the mining pool online (it will be located at pool.tynkk.com). Or if you're feeling really adventurous, why not start your own mining pool? PM me if you're interested and I'll help you get it set up.

No worries, I can wait for the pool before mining on Windows. But please see my error from above, still getting this on Linux using your binaries -

I have updated my git releases with new linux binarys and source files. Please remove the .tiyin folder in your home folder first, and then re-execute.

get the new binaries, they work. Previous ones had that error.

I got the first 5 blocks on the chain, but now I can't get any more. Seems chain has stopped.

Perhaps difficulty too high? I think I'm the only one mining

Also how to check difficulty? Previous cryptonight coins were easy with mining from wallet. The separate miner here does not give much info

Wait for the pool to come online... By the way, once the pool is here, can we not mine with third party Cryptonight miners?

Hey, if you stick with it for 4-6 hours, you'll find that the Zawy algorithm will correct itself and set a perfect diff.  If you're willing to stick it out for a few hours we'd appreciate it, and then we can take a look at what the difficulty is doing and see if we need to make any adjustments. In testing, it calibrated after an average of 80 blocks.

And no, you're not the only miner on the network, I can see 15 connections to each of the seed nodes, so there seem to be a few lurkers out there who are mining but not posting. I'm going to throw my spare box at it also.

As for checking the difficulty, if you restart the miner with the "--log-level 5" you will see much more output, including the diff. If you have ideas for the miner, please feel free to critique it,  and we'll do out best to improve it.

Will there be more information?
Please gave us more details.
We were looking for any Bounty campaign  present at the moment.
Seems the dev working really hard.

Yes, our partners will be stepping forward in the coming weeks with more information. Questions of bug bounties, as this is a no pre-mine coin, will be handled by our commercial partners, more information will be available on our website in the coming days. Please contact pumba @ tynkk.com with any security issues or bugs, or post on our GitHub Issue page, we will relay the information to our partners and get back to you with their response.

win console wallet ? pool ?
No windows wallet yet, can someone provide a pool?
daemon windows ?

There is a windows GUI mining tool available on our GitHub, https://github.com/tynkk/core/releases. The windows daemon will be coming in the next few days, along with a GUI windows wallet.

how to mine this coin ? Pool?

Right now, because we are only soft-launching, we do not have a pool. The general public is more than welcome to set up a pool and run it however they want, if you would like assistance setting one up please PM or email me (pumba @ tynkk.com) and I can walk you through it and provide the code to run it.

As far as everything else is concerned, we are now "officially" (soft) launched. You will be able to start mining in about an hour, after all our seed nodes are online and communicating. I will update the thread when that's finished.

Any more questions, please feel free contact me or Timon, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Our partners? Wth are you talking about? Lol.

Some people are mining something 95% does not understand how to mine. Very fair launch. Your coin is already dead now.

I can understand your skepticism and reluctance to contribute to this blockchain and its community. The businesses that will implement the tiyin coin have an interest in measuring the size of the mining public on a monthly basis, so as not to waste their own resources. Said resources will scale variably according to the community size. The nature of our agreements are what make TIYINIЖI unique, and is also why this information has been kept private for these businesses, as well as for our own interest in the going concern of the coin.

If you feel this soft-launch period will put you too far out on a ledge, I encourage you to look for a better opportunity for your processing power elsewhere. Perhaps megacoin may be a better fit to your expectations.

You can talk but it just sounds like verbal diarrhea. Your coin is total shit and you now it. Soft-launch for insiders is a scam you idiot.
