Help to recover ripple please

So here's the deal. I'm using the Rippex Desktop Wallet, which has a few cases of corrupting wallet.dat thus rejecting the password set for the wallet. Now I don't know if this is the case with my wallet or if I just forgot my password but I definitely think it's the former as I've accessed my wallet with the same password many times before.

Also can't seem to get my secret key to work. When I initially created the account, I wrote the secret key in a book however at the time of writing, my hand was in a cast therefore some of secret key isn't very clear. There are 4 or 5 characters I'm not too sure about.

I did some reading on wallet recovery and saw that bruteforce was an option. Bear in mind that a ripple secret key is 29 characters long and seeing that I'm certain that most of it is correct besides 4-5 characters, I think the odds are in my favour.

Does anybody know how I can get started with this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
