"The fact that people are hacking bitcoins really hard, it almost hearkens back to when banks first started and they didn't have safe safes and people were going into the banks and just robbing money out of the safe. I'm not sure if I agree with the likelihood of the observation, but this is an interesting approach: Because of cyberthreats, governments are trying to regulate the Internet in a way that does not keep users anonymous. By using the same technology as bitcoin, people could anonymously monitor each other on the Internet for criminal behavior and this civic participation would help eliminate government intrusion, Kutcher said. |

Are there any videos of Kutcher on bitcoin from 2011 or 2012? Wonder if his tune has changed. I imagine he would have learned about it related to Dwolla's startup.

Ashton is highly regarded by the Hollywood community for his financial expertise.
Saw him on TV the other night interviewed for his investments. Had nothing to do with bitcoin.
Now that he's talking about bitcoin...
Not to mention that Hollywood is liberal.
