Hey,

I already bought an S9 and it's on it's way. Took me a GREAT while to find at a decent price.

So meanwhile I started using my computer for mining. Just for curiosity and some experience, to later find out that with only 1 video card, I was able to mine $6 daily(nicehash) with no skills at all(Gtx 1080). So, since it was fishy, bought kill a watt to see if it was profitable, and surprisingly it was.

Which raises the question, any custom pc that I can build right now, and maximize while it lasts and then just hope for the best and sell the parts when they're not profitable? The one currently mining with the gtx has custom water cooling etc, so can't sneak another video card there.

Thanks for the time and help, very much appreciated.

Go look into building a 6 GPU mining rig. There's lots of info and youtube videos given many are busy mining Etherium. Right now it appears that using the RX570s might be the optimal choice as from what I've seen they don't use as much power as other cards.

Hey, I guess my first question would be what kind of budget do you have? Additionally, what kind of window are you willing to wait to get your return on investment? I have been mining for several years now and sometimes things dont go as planned to say the least.

The last thing to keep in mind is potential cooling/ventilation costs on top of just your miner power consumption. I would be happy to provide some help in building a system though. I just completed my first kaby lake i7-7700k build with water cooler as well Smiley
