Is CHCoin being traded on any exchanges? predictions for the future?
I think Feathercoin will do better long run. I think a lot of people that missed out on Feathercoin lauch jumped at this one, myself included. Free market will do it's thing.

One big fail in solo mining this rudiculously fast zero-difficulty coin. It would be interesting to explore the chain thought...

ChinaCoin is so ... yesterday. Face it -- you've already missed the boat. Again. For you, I'm introducing the RubeGoldbergCoin -- the hyper-deflationary alt currency with tremendous incentives for the early adopters, and YOU can get in on the ground floor!
Testing wastes time. As soon's the build's done, i'm mining!!1!!! Don't get left behind again, join the RBC Revolution!

If too many people make virtual currencies then they are going to become 'fads' I worry.
Think about it, Its supposed to be a global currency right? So displayed in the window of the 'global' shop is one currency. If you went to your local shop it probably says in the window we accept dollars, euros pounds at a stretch, even in the UK some shops take euros as they accept it is a major currency. But most wont because they think it is too complicated. Most global shops that display other currencies are just for conversion purposes; you can buy something in romanian lei on a website but when it goes to card processing its turned to US dollars. With a virtual currency, this equivalent' isn't going to work as there is no fiat to draw on.
When there is 100 different VCurrrecies then shopping carts would be very complicated, with each currency requiring its own check out, account etc. So this is going to create confusion for vendors who will one day just say 'enough is enough' and say no to all Vcurrency.
I don't see why people instead of trying to make new fads, dont just try to strengthen the Bitcoin movement by being behind one currency.

I agree with you but when people with small rigs are solo mining 300,000 coins in a few hours it is worth a try. Some people got lucky and it worked for them most people it didn't work so well.

I agree with you but when people with small rigs are solo mining 300,000 coins in a few hours it is worth a try. Some people got lucky and it worked for them most people it didn't work so well. And after KFC was successful people started their own fried chicken places. And Mcdonalds spawned a whole chain of burger joints. Then look at giants like ebay or google. Would you start your own search engine now? New Cryptocurrencies are either the 'dammit I must have been sleeping that day' Kneejerk reaction of people who wanted to start something like Bitcoin but didn't have the confidence to take the leap, and now it is popular they now decided to enter the race, but too late. Or worse still, people who didn't even know that Bitcoin exists or even the principle of such a thing until it became popular, and wanted to carve of a piece of crypto glory for themselves. I would steer well clear of all of them, to promote unity in one.

There are over 100 fiat currencies in the world and somehow it works out. At some point someone is going to design a system to convert your alt coins to BTC or LTC just prior to purchase (for a fee of course). This will allow vendors to have a few accounts but still allow customers to use Alt coins. Sort of like when I use VISA in another country it converts my money to local money. As more and more of these alt coins come out they will be worth less, unless they do something to separate themselves form the pack.

of course it does because fiat currencies are all underpinned by the economy of the country that they are issued by and supported and backed by a central bank and at least some gold in there somewhere. That is why they are interchangeable and able to be taken on good faith.

Mining it just in case in 10 days i can sell fast and make profit. Sold mine 10k FC today for 40BTC and I am not sorry, made them in about 24h mining. So, FTC/CNC/etc.../etc... All speculation coins. Me as a miner and not a trader, wanna see money, even it is not a fortune. In my country 500$ is very good montly income, so I love my 40BTC I made in 24hr. If I can make 20BTC in 10 days from now selling all my CNC I plan to mine for 2-3 days I shall be happy. Happy mining/trading .
