I've been trading on Poloniex for months and not had any issues. But with the substantial increase in users, Poloniex is unusably slow to make trades. Rates are changing multiple times every second and it takes over 10 seconds to place my buy/sell bid. In those few seconds, the price has already changed and it is impossible to make a bid.

I am looking for alternative exchanges which has had a good track record and works without these delays. Also, it should work on mobile. Any suggestions?

That's how heavy the volumes is established in Poloniex everyday meaning there are really lots of traders using this platform and increasing more day by day.

I can't say any of the alternatives since I don't know if other altcoin exchanges will not be like the status of Poloniex today when in some of the cases they will be the one experiencing this big loads of volumes everyday. Just give it a shot for other exchanges and see if it will meet your expectations.

From what I've heard bittrex seems like the only reliable option, but some users are concerned about their site security, because of a hack last year, so I don't know if it is a good option or not. For short time trading the lag is an issue, but if you try to make long term trading then it should be ok to continue using Poloniex.

Oh you were in it for those few seconds delays between trades and those profits?
Sad story but that's just how pumps and dumps work, btw poloniex is owned and operated by cia or is under their influence, meaning all your records

Is at their disposal with all past and future trades, transactions and all the activities, they are the ones pumping Ripple and Stellar just wait and see

How far they will pump them to try and surpass Bitcoin.

You're confusing Bittrex with Bitfinex.  Bittrex was not hacked and they know how to properly scale their infrastructure to handle increased loads. They will also be rolling out a new interface from what I hear, but their main priority is meeting demand and security.

Bittrex and Kraken are the exchanges in which i trade most of the time apart from Polo and for the past few weeks almost all of the exchanges are having a huge surge in users and the sites are finding it difficult to accommodate everyone,hope they will settle the issues as soon as possible.

At first when I was a newbie I was really got confused between the two exchange and I really thought that they are just the same.Bittrex is a good alternative exchange when you don't like to trade up with poloniex. For now I don't have any trust to make trades on bitfinex since they got being hacked in the past. I lost my trust and confidence on trading the site. C-cex is also a good alternative.

Bittrex is indeed the best exchange present at the moment. All the orders get refresh in real time without any lag or slow connection. Prices are also most of the time best on Bittrex. However, one thing I would like to thumb down for Bittrex is Bitcoin withdrawal fees. It used to be 0.0002 BTC week ago but now fixed at 0.001 BTC which means Bittrex earn from our transactions because when I saw my transaction on blockchain, it was sent with only 0.00055 BTC fees.

No.1 = Poloniex

No.2 = Bittrex

No.3 = None

That's ranking according to my experience with most of the exchanges. The worst one in my opinion is YoBit.

Well that sounds like a straight up lie.  Feel free to give me anything other than tin-foil hat conspiracy theories.

Maybe.

Poor liquidity and quite new, but I wouldn't say they're completely unsafe.

3-Bittrex
Go here.  High liquidity, running for a long time, all the coins you want.  Much safer than Poloniex.

4-Yobit
Don't go here.  YoBit are running "Invest Box" which looks like a giant Ponzi scheme.  They run a terrible dice game.  They don't actually have supply for many of the shitcoins that they list and don't process withdrawals for them, and many coins go into "maintenance" for several months at a time (sometimes they're slow even for Bitcoin withdrawals).  Not at all safe.

Bittrex is the only option out there that has quite good volume for altcoin trading also they can be trusted. I have also made several trades there using my mobile, so yes their platform is also compatible with mobiles/smartphones.

Other trading platforms with good volumes are yobit and c-cex.

As quoted finding an alternate to poloniex is simply impossible, because in terms of volume every exchange stands next to poloniex. In terms of large number of listings one could prefer Yobit and with low volume lots of exchanges were available and one that's gaining popularity seems to be livecoin.
