According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.

If its true its good news because some people dont have cash but they have stored bitcoin so that they can use it to relax in a hotel. I hope here in my country there also accepting bitcoin for payment.

This is a new breakthrough, and it's also a great idea to imitate
But for some countries this is not possible, especially in countries that prohibit the use of bitcoin as an official means of payment
For example my country Indonesia, the government has issued a decision
Here you are prohibited from using bitcoin as a means of payment, if proven to do so with a fine, or may be fined  Cry

The order of making a border for bitcoin in a country is just temporary because if the government of those countries realizes the positive effect of bitcoin for their economy and whole country then i think that the different kind of businesses will immediately accept bitcoin. I agree that this idea is great because it can attract tourist especially bitcoin users to go to that country and try the payment system of the hotels with their bitcoin.

Travel agencies CheapAir and Destinia also accept Bitcoin payments for booking hotels. Expedia does not accept Bitcoin for flights, but does this for booking hotels. The giant journey uses an online platform called Coinbase to secure digital currency transfers.

The hotel is fantastic, very handy in making such payments. The world is slowly giving up cash, turning into a world without cash instead of cryptocurrency. But I do not know yet how they will convert bitcoin at the rate of exchange? At different times, the bitcoin price will be different. Can anybody help me?

Another good news! I hope most of the hotels here in our country accept bitcoin too. My wife and I love to travel. It will be more convinient with this type of transaction since we don't like using credit cards to reserve hotels.

The question is, how would the travel agencies react with this actions by the hotels? If they do, expansion of bitcoin's market will surely rise up. Soon enough, more services will be accepting bitcoin maybe even medical services.

This thread is a good signal that there is highly likely to be heavy demand for a hotel/resort fractional ownership scheme which accepts crypto as payment for ownership, accommodation and food/beverage.

I am considering setting up something similar myself (my background is in owning successful companies selling real estate and new development promotion), where the fractional ownership is held and administrated on the blockchain giving it a liquid 2nd hand market.  Similarly rental income will also we administered on the blockchain.

Problem is my expertise is in investments and real estate and not in blockchain tech and I would be worried I might be out of my depth.

As we can see, Hotels are now accepting bitcoins as payment for their goods and services offered. Not only hotels, but some other entities are already accepting bitcoins too. While other's are legitimately using bitcoin as payment, how come other people even say that bitcoin is a scam?

It is great to know that there are hotels specially in Vegas  are accepting btc  as payment for accomodation and food. Imagine losing your fiat in the casino, at least there is something you can use to pay your bills while in vacation.  Merchants and vendors  are now adapting to changes and  the growth of population using e-payments and the acceptance of crypto currency like btc is really phenomenal. Like in third world country like ours there are also online companies and merchants based in the Phils that accepts bitcoins for payments.

Truly amazing to know that this tranferrable cryptocurrency like bitcome is now widely accepted and that the economy is now evolving towards  advance technology.

This is good news for bitcoins and is convenient for everyone. The hotel "Vervier", located in the Belgian city of the same name, is reported to have been the first in the country to take the crypto currency. The client scans the QR-code using its "smartphone, tablet, mobile phone or any other device connected to the Internet" and performs bitcoin-payment. I think that bitcoins are much safer than credit cards, as payment by credit card can be canceled.

Yeah, it is good for criptocurrency society and criptocurrency market at all. Using BTC in everyday payments will be step forward in criptocurrency development. However, current BTC fees are too high for everyday payments. So I hope that this issue will be resolved in the nearest future or another more suitable criptocurrency will be used for this purpose

I think the idea of accepting bitcoin in some hotels are such a convenient way for people who find traditional transaction as a long transaction. And many of those people are in a rush or the time is very important for them. I would be happy if the way of transaction is like your phone can just like tap to the scanner where you can send bitcoins immediately to the cashier.

Its a good thing to hear. Maybe in the future there will be a hotel, restaurant and other establishment that will accept bitcoin as a payment for their service.

If it is true that the hotel receives a bitcoin payment then this is something good for bitcoin. Maybe in the future some other fields will follow the steps of the hotel, and bitcoin owners can easily do transaction activity using bitcoin only. But are you willing to pay something with bitcoin? If I am less interested because I aim to collect bitcoin as an asset.
