Hello,

I need your thoughts and opinion about trading altcoins.

I already started learning trading, done few trades, reading some info and I really like it but one questions arose in my mind ... can trading altcoin be treated like full time job/real business?
I mean, i am really motivated to keep learning and keep improving my trades and I really want to spend as much time as needed in order to be professional trader and make money from it, also I am planning to start blogging, start creating info products, make social following, build list on TRADING ALTCOIN niche, BUT ...

My question and concern is if trading altcoin is something which I really can learn, make money and share my knowledge with other's or this trading business is more based on luck and it's like gambling ?

You see, If it's more based on luck and not on experience, knowledge, I think it wont be good idea to keep learning this and especially share my knowledge with other's.

I just need to know and decide if I should put my time, energy on trading altcoin niche.

Please share your thoughts !

no i don't think it can.
because the market you see right now, which is so active and looks all fine and rising, won't last forever. it actually is not the first time this bull run in altcoin market happens. maybe the biggest so far but certainly not the fist and won't be the last.
which means you can't really think of it as a full time job where you earn a living from.

but it is possible to do so!
trading in general is a bad way of making a living in my opinion because of the risks it has. and when it comes to trading altcoins, which are heavily manipulated things become even riskier.
and besides no logic works in altcoin market most of the times. so you can't really rely on things such as TA,... to speculate the market and make a move.

I think it can if you are really good with trading, although not every time you can make money from trading, but it can make a good profit if you got a lot of experience and skill in trading, but it is a bit risky to make a living from trading

If your question only "can trading on altcoin be treated like full job?" the answer is "yes, it can", but if your question is "can we get stable income from trading on altcoin?" the answer is "no, you can't". Focus on what we like is important, but do that after you are interested and really want to learn that, and good luck once you decided to trade! Wink

placing your dedication like having a real job will allow you earn coming from your trade activity, its more than a day job earnings if you really focus like me i already quit my day job and invest my money into trading though i still have my own computer shop business but I do believe that day will come for me and earn much better coming from trading alts.

Hmm, basically trading is the place for those who want to try hard in solving every market there is. Because trading is not a matter of luck, but a skill that exists in us. If we want to have a good skill, then it is certain that you already play a little longer in the trading. Because trading needs experience, and the experience not only of yourself but also the experience of someone who wants to share a story about him. And the main thing to always you are holding is confident or a self control

Thanks for the answers. You see, trading would be like second income source, the main one would be list building, info product creation on the trading altcoin niche.

What you think, such niche would be interested to people?
As now I understand that there are many who are interested in learning how to trade altcoins.

Trading is definitely a full time job, but its a lot more riskier and stressful. Unless you are a pro and know what you are doing and have been trading for years, I would reconsider trading as a full time thing. Trading is extremely unpredictable and there is no guarantee that you will make a profit. Making it your primary source of income would only add to the stress.

as the primary job not but as a real job yes.
based on my experience it is best to see trading as a secondary job, and i believe that is what OP meant from his other comment.
and in that case trading can easily be a good job to have. you have your job security with your primary job and make sure money from that but do trading to make addition amount and it can be sometimes small an sometimes huge.

specially with altcoins that get pumped these days. but when it ends you fall back on your safety net of primary job.

Buying the dip...

Trading altcoin as business or job is absolutely unacceptable as making profit through the advantage in market is not consistent therefore there is no assurance that you can win. If you don't have huge amount of money to be traded, and slow market movement is now worth it for everyday's needs.

Trading needs a lot of time to manage. But being on full time on trading is not good. Altcoin market is very bullish. You can't just rely  on this. You some alternative way of earning. Trading is very risky. So you need other way to earn to cover your losses. Even a professional trader fail sometimes. Trading for is just an investment not a full time job.

Yes we can get stable income from altcoin trading. But you must have good experience and know when to enter and exit.More over, you should have large investment in order to gain good profit so that you can get stable income. You must develop yourself into a professional trader in order to finish successful trades.

I thibk trading is definitely a full time job. If you treat it as a hobby, you will miss a lot of potential setups that you can profit off of. Trading is also a skill that requires a lot of time and patience.

I don't think so. Trading acquires great analysis and knowledge. Time doesn't matter as you can check it evrrytime you want as long as you have an internet connection and mobile phones. You can do a lot of things even though you tend more in trading.

Almost all the traders might be facing some difficulties time to time. But how we are managing to have more number of successful trades than number of losses is really matters. The amount of profit also must be greater than amount of losses so that one trader could be thinking about going full time crypto currency trading.

I do believe when our technical analysis will be supporting to have some consistent and fixed income at least on weekly basis, there would be no mistakes in adopting trading as a full-time job.

Traders may fail for a day, but should come out with profits at least on weekly basis. If it is possible, then going for full time will remain a good decisions.

Well this is not a new question here in this forum.
This is an ambiguous for me, because the answer is can be yes or no. You can make a decision to retire from your daily job, if you can make regular income weekly or monthly, say it 30% of your funds. And remember, this requires high skill and tons of knowledge about market, technical analysis and fundamental analysis.
If you don't have a good funds to start it, you better keep it as an additional income.

Trading alts/btc is a very risksy thing but if you are in good at it, it can be treated as full time job. As of now, the market is volatile so you should be more focus on it. If not, loses will experience, atleast you have with knowledge and skills trading will be profitable.

I don't think it can be your full time job or at least I don't think you can treat it like this and keep your nervous system intact for too long. It brought me tons of stress when I used to do it before the recent bubble. Treat it like a way to gain capital for investing into other more low volatile businesses.

If you want to trade, why don't you start a crypto exchange service IRL. Make a website and sell BTC and other currencies to people for fiat money. Lots of people need a way to turn their BTC to fiat too, so you can buy their BTC and alts for a lower than market price and make steadier and safer profits than with daytrading.
