I don't think ETC is under as active development as ETH... and PoS is not even robust in theory at this time.

only if ETH go pos, otherwise you won't have the boom of miner changing their target and supporting a new coin, that's what it take to go in the sky also, miner are very important for the lifespan of an altcoin, i do agree that ETC as a huge chance to increase in the future, it was created because ETH was facing that bug that destroy its credibility, but reaching this huge marketcap of ethereum will not be a joke for ethereum classic, it needs a serious support from buyers

Although several things are very much possible in the crypto-world but at the same time somethings are kind of difficult to be possible which sometimes can be categorised as impossible and among such is what op is saying that ETC will replace ETH where most development is on ETH and aside that ETC is only relying on the popularity of ETH in which without that, there is no room for ETC as at today.

What matters is who backs ETH and who backs ETC.
Vitalik Buterin backs ETH. There is a lot of active development on ETH.
ETC is nobody's child.

I think ETH is much more under active development and has a bigger user base. I think ETC has no chance at the moment against ETH.

Well if we look at it mining-profit side, ETH is better atm.
Nobody knows when PoS is gonna happen but I'm 100% sure that when that happens I'm switching to ETC.

Btw, I know that eth is centralized but who cares? All these coins aren't even used or are ever going to be used except in btc trading.
Make the most of it. That's it.

As long as Vitalik and his millionaire father are pumping and dumping there will be interest in ETH. It's a matter of time for ETH to die and they know it but they are trying to milk the cow till the end!

One of them is $150-200 and the other one is only $10-15, you're aware of this, right? I don't see any reason or innovation for ETH to get replaced by ETC.

There is no chance that eth replace by etc, ethereum is the most competitive coin right now it is the second in bitcoin well etc is immutable but it doesn't mean that it can replace ethereum easily. More years.

Why ETC is decentralized and EHT is not ?
Now ETH when they go POS there will be miners that will be still mining ETH chain and ETH POS will be in action.
ETH ETC both will be decentralized  IMO

The team behind a coin often matters more than a few small differences. Even if i like ETC fundamentals a bit more, i'd choose ETH over ETC for a long term investment.

Of course ethereum is easily replaceable by a fork of it at the time it was still an original idea unaffected by hype. Vitalik had a good concept about ethereum but the way things went isn't really flattering for a developer with integrity.

The OP could not do simpler than that. But there is something missing: in terms of scalability, both are ten times worse than Bitcoin.

Don't broke party today i have synched wallet with -fast method Mist blockchain have 20GB now and this is light version Cheesy...
Okay six months ago it was 10GB in light version. I don't know how much have orginal now ? 150GB ? Cheesy...
When thye wil reach BTC transaction size it will have 500GB or more. Once some of those ICOs will starts working on chain then will be real miracle.
