Warning: This works, but I did found (ex here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=191793.0)   that the pool I suggest here has raised some fears. I will update my experience later has I find new information. Anyone with a better pool to suggest will be welcome. I also found this one that seems to have a better rep: http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com/

I saw this asked in the foruns and the reply wasn´t really newbie friendly (I think so and I am a newbie).

So, after I figured out a really easy way for windows users, I decided to post it here:

Mining feathercoin with guiminer:

(1) Download special LTC version (Guiminer-scrypt)  here (will work although its buggy, its a alpha): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150331.0

(2) Download and install AMD APP SDK from AMD here: http://developer.amd.com/tools/heterogeneous-computing/amd-accelerated-parallel-processing-app-sdk/downloads/

(3) Make an account in a pool such as (Dig Feathercoin): http://fc.ltcoin.net/

(4) In the Home page, after login, fill worker code with desired name and then click "add" at the end of that row. Also dont forget to update "payment info" with your wallet adress code (copy past from wallet).

(5) Launch Guimine-scrypt. (click the exe file after extracting , 7zip will do) And fill it like this:

Host: fc.ltcoin.net
Username: (your login-name.workercode) ex: monkey@gmail.com.worker
Device: you got to use AMDs cards, click on the one you own (tip: its the codename from amd (ex:" Pitcairn"), just chose the option that is not the processor. Nvidia users may have support soon).

Port: 6666
Password: your login password

Then go to GPU Defaults and choose your card from the drop down list. Then, to assure stability (you can mess intensity values later when you want to mine faster and everything is basicaly working) decrease 5 points on the number that appears on intensity (For ex. for my card, 7850 suggested value (high usage) is too high - it crashes, this is a alfa)

Dont mess with anything else except stratum: I suggest changing to "no"

(6) Press "start"

Wait a couple of seconds and you sould be mining.

If you find this usefull send some FTC mined using this help this way. Or not. Its up to you, really. At Least I would know it was usefull: 6pPZh2Uyvusec4EKWw6vcep4Hj5UQHvrEy

Disclamer: I dont know this pool very well, I just found it out a few minutes ago. Also, I am using GUIminerscrypt for only a few days. And yes, I am a newbie. My wallet is empty at the moment,  but I expect not for long.  Really hope this tutorial helps, from a newb to newbs around there.  So far it seems to be working, I already have 42 shares.

I have to thank several other helps I got such as this site: http://cryptojunky.com/blog/2013/03/12/absolute-beginners-guide-to-litecoin-mining/ to guide me to the Guimner scrypt. And Feathercoin's other sites where I learned it was LTC based (which I was mining). And of course KIV from where I made 4 bitcoins and now Tacotime who developed Guiminer for LTC and that is usefull to FTC. I have Kaspersky installed and nothing came out has dangerous. There is also no reports on the foruns I have skimmed.

Yeah, after bitcoin went asic I decided to go the scrypt coins route. At this moment  is more "equalitarian". And profitable too.
