What do you mean you have the password, do you have your wallet file?  If you're running electrum already and you have the password why do you need the seed?

there is a menu on top of the electrum window.
click on the Wallet option and choose the Seed option. that will open a window asking you for your password. (you can also click on the little seen photo at the bottom right corner of the electrum window)
now enter your password to see your seed, and make sure to write it down on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place.

Let's be clear, there are:
-the wallet file
-the password
-the seed

to get your whole wallet accessible you need either:
the seed
or the wallet file + password

If you have only the password but no longer the wallet file then your coins are lost for good.
If you have the password and still the wallet file then do as previous post said and SAVE YOUR SEED FOR GOD SAKE

That's the very definition of your wallet!
That's the most important thing :p

ok, seed found, thanks for the easy access to it.

you mentioned the wallet file.  When I open the program my wallet appears automatically.  what is the definition of wallet file?
