It's time to put into practice all the holding that you did during the MtGox days. Assuming you were there back then, then you should have experience of holding through a massive 50%+ crash. I held from $1200 to $150 so for me the current crash is a joke, I know in the end I will win.

I am holding for now, there is no real reason to sell. I will sell only if I absolutely need to. Bitcoin will gain traction in the next couple of years regardless of whatever happens now. I panic sold 5 btc at $400 and I am still having nightmare about that.

Do not be so upset. At that time it was too good money. Now you can not sell under any conditions because the price has dropped and will continue to fall. You need to wait out the panic. That's why I'm opposed to the world had only one currency. The more currency the easier it is to survive any crisis.

From my point of view anyone who doesn't have to sell the bitcoin for whatever reason should hold it and that it's because I primarily look at bitcoins as an investment. Investment that it's the most profitable on long term. So, don't be so obsessed with price, there will be pumps and dumps occasiony, but you should determine your goal with bitcoins in some middle to long term position and stick to that. Do me this is the best strategy.

You do not need to talk about falling prices. Why bring panic to the masses? It is best to think that if we buy coins today, then in a few years their price will multiply several times.

yeah its just wasting time to talk about falling price because bitcoin will never fall its price we know bitcoin increasing price too much faster and a lot of people trying to buy bitcoin and then holding their for future because bitcoin price will rise more and more in the future.

This is not that easy. Doing bitcoin holding requires high patience, we will always be interested in the current bitcoin price. Look at price movements and when bitcoin prices decline there must be a sense of panic, this is usually the cause of selling bitcoin for many people (panic sell).

Yes 100% agree with you. If you want to make some immediate profit than better sell some bitcoins and purchase again when it falls. In this way you would have made some profit and also you will get bitcoin at lower price.

Most of the elite in bitcoin are doing this, but there are some that are very unruly with it and selling out of their fear, and they would sell every drop of bitcoin in their wallet, and right now that August 1 is coming I think that unruly ones would still done this thing and sell all their bitcoin before the impending split, well at first I am thinking the same thing to do before the split will occur, but I think I would just sell a small amount and will hold on to a bigger portion of my bitcoin.

The price of bitcoins is going higher and higher and there will be not be an epic dump as people have trust in bitcoins and they would not dump down all their bitcoins.
Holding is one of the that you can do if you want to make a good profit. In addition to that, holding is a nice strategy to gain a high income and if you hold you bitcoin now or any altcoin you will become millionaire or billionaire in the near future. I think that the price of bitcoin will increase in the near future so that I would rather to hold my bitcoin than to sell it.

If you are investing in a high risk asset such as Bitcoin, it is necessary to look at all the possibilities. No one knows what will happen to the exchange rates in the future. They may climb to new peaks, or they can go back to $200 per coin.

I believe in bitcoin in long term could reach fantastic price over $10,000 but that for few years later and not everyone will be patient not to sell any of their bitcoin savings, neither do I.
Sell bitcoin isn't a mistake if you really need money or get profits through fluctuate price as long as you could buy back and save more bitcoin. Usually, I sell small amount of my bitcoin to cover my expenses if I don't have any other source income to extract some cash.

I am a strong believer that this is not the big bubble that everyone is predicting. If you want to make some profits, then sell a small percentage

of your coins, but DO NOT sell every coin you have. We have not even sorted out the scaling issues and we have not even had 1 killer/viral Bitcoin

Application and look at where the price is now. Only 1 country has signalled that they will fully embrace Bitcoin {Japan} ... What will happen once

this goes global?

Take some profits now, {to protect yourself, if this goes bad} BUT do not sell everything. Leave some coins for the Big Score when this thing

really takes off to the Moon.  Wink
Sure, I always believe in bitcoin so I'm not going to sell it, instead, I'm going to buy more bitcoin, I believe the value of it will rise even higher after segwit succeeds.

I agree with you . Every action there must be a strategy we have been thinking about. Do hold and sell is actually free to do, especially for a trader who perform this action to take advantage. But back again that bitcoin prices are very difficult to predict. so when it comes to long term, I believe also that the price of bitcoin will rise better than today.

I bought bitcoin for long-term investment. And now I'm not bothered by news about a possible price cut after August 1. Even if there is a price drop, I will wait for the price increase

That's a great idea and controlling your emotions taking for granted those news around because it sometimes gives us stress. Having to wait for the price to increase is a wise decisions to do, and holding your bitcoin is more like a savings with a very higher advantage compared of fiat currency savings. Although it's hard to maintain good control of your part but still you can make it bot to sell everything and holding of coins is always a priority.

I am saving every penny I can get my hands on, to buy every cheap Satoshi that comes on the market. I predict a massive panic dump in the week just before the 1st of August, when the hype and shilling will be at it's highest. The Noobs will be selling at the slightest indication of a bitcoin dump and I will SWIM in the cheap coins, like Scrooge McDuck in his Gold vault. I have NO doubt that this is not the end of Bitcoin and I am willing to put my Dollars where my mouth is by buying in the dump. ^smile^

I could imagine to happen something like that as well. One last major dump before we will move up again. I placed several buy orders on different price levels, until down to $1800. So a final last big shakeout is really possible. When everybody is chanting that we will get SegWit someone will make want the weak hands to give away their coins.

You need to keep coins even with such a panic that is created around August 1, because I'm sure that this is not the last panic that is trying to destroy bitcoin. You need patience and then you can get rich.
