You shouldn't put so much blame on Trump himself. What the USA does on the international stage is mostly decided by other people. The president is just the face of it all and always gets to have like one big campaign to show for himself. Bush had his War on Terror, Obama had Obamacare and Trump has his MAGA slogan which will transcribe into something eventually but we haven't yet seen what maybe a wall on the Mexican border, maybe something else.
TLDR: It would probably have been the same with any other of the candidates becoming president.
I agree. Presidents only execute the decisions of other people and this can happen from everyone.
Presidents are mere puppets in the hands of others. In the hands of those people who really rule the world.
But it is necessary to choose a person who has inner strength and charisma. Who has leadership qualities and can manage people. I doubt that Trump can do it all.
