I need mining help! I can't seem to get an answer anywhere, not even on /r/GGB

I've posted on reddit, other forums, and girlsgonebitcoin to try and entice someone to giving me some help. Unfortunately have not had any luck and would sincerely appreciate anyone willing to take the time to help me out here.

I've got a milk crate rig with 3 cards running windows 7 and claymore's zcash miner. No matter what I do, I cannot get 3 cards to play nicely together. The first card is always dead. I've swapped out the card, the usb riser, and even plugged that card and riser into a different port. It works in any and all configurations with the exception of all 3 cards at once.

This specific board I have 3 of (or at least I share with a friend) and she's got them working exact same hardware as me same os, same everything (even the same damn bios version) with 3 cards at once).

change PCIe from auto to GEN1 in bios
or, you need more power for your rig.

So it turns out that the molex connection I had to that card was shorted out! I didn't notice it when I was swapping cards and thats why that area always failed!
