Hello all,

WorkForBitcoin now has a cool domain name: http://BitTask.com. The original domain name http://workforbitcoin.com will still be functioning. I hope that my effort can bring some contributions to the Bitcoin community.

What do we do?

We bring together workers and employers for jobs that are paid with Bitcoin.

How can I offer jobs? How can I work for Bitcoin?

WorkForBitcoin offers a job board that can be used by employers to offer jobs for a specific price. Potential workers can bid on those jobs. Once all details have been clarified the employer can assign the job to a worker who has to accept this assignment.

Once the job has been completed by the worker, employer and worker confirm that the job has been completed and the employer pays the worker. At the end employer and worker rate each other.

For larger amounts of money we recommend an escrow service. The escrow service makes sure that the money is available and reserved for the worker, so that the worker gets automatically paid when the job has been completed.

Why WorkForBitcoin?
There are many reasons to use WorkForBitcoin. WorkForBitcoin is fast, secure, anonymous, international, and free.

  • WorkForBitcoin is fast because you can offer a job, get it done and paid withing a few hours. That is why WorkForBitcoin is a great solution for micro jobs.
  • WorkForBitcoin is secure and anonymous as neither WorkForBitcoin nor the payment method requires you to reveal your identity. Moreover, Bitcoin payments are cryptographically secured, which is one of the large benefits of Bitcoins.
  • WorkForBitcoin is international because Bitcoins can be transferred across countries without any fee.
  • WorkForBitcoin is free because that is what we want it to be.

What is the escrow service and how does it work?

WorkForBitcoin offers an escrow service. The employer will have to transfer the money for a job to an escrow account before the work is started. The escrow account is held by WorkForBitcoin. When the job is completed the money will be released to the worker's account. Of course, if the job is cancelled, the money will be returned back to the employer's account.

The escrow service is free of charge for both employers and workers.

Can I post when I am looking for a new job?
No. Only employers can post new jobs. But you can put your expertise and references into your profile that is visible to potential employers when you comment on their job offers.

I like the idea, but it seems that both jobs and services offered are displayed together making it a bit confusing.

Guys,  we have put a lot of effort on making the website highly usable. We now need your help to make it popular.
Please post jobs on the website or tell your friends the existence of it.
We have done a lot on trading bitcoins. Now let's contribute to the *true* economics of bitcoin, because this is the way to make bitcoin *really* useful!

I liked the old name better personally, but the new one is probably easier to remember so in that sense it may very well be better.  Bookmarked in case I ever need to hire someone to do JavaScript work for me.

Hi halfawake, the original one is still functioning. I also like the original one very much. But it is a bit long. This one is much shorter.
