I just installed 0.96.0.1 on an offline computer and after creating a wallet, straight went on to printing out a single sheet paper backup. No problem there.

However, trying out the fragmented backup, didn't quite work so well. No matter how I set it up, I'm unable to print out / display any of the fragments.

Logfile: https://pastebin.com/raw/YXMpzZRC

Now, different (online) computer, trying to import / sweep a paper wallet. After entering the private key and confirming that the pubkey is correct, nothing happens.

Logfile: https://pastebin.com/raw/fs6kr17i

On a side note, these two issues also occur on 0.96.0.

Is this a bug or something related to my setup?

Those issues are bugs.

This bug is preventing both creation of fragmented backups and restore from fragmented backups in 0.96.0.1.

goatpig, Is this an easy fix? If so, mind posting a 0.2 or a patch?

I have recently had lots of friends asking me to set up wallets but I insist on max security from their first dollar as part of a mindset switch, so if this is an easy fix - a patch would be appreciated!

Based on the errors in the log, it looks like a pretty simple fix. I will work on a fix and probably submit a PR for that sometime tomorrow.

Goatpig said that he will be out until Sunday, so don't expect anything to be merged or any releases to be made.

I've also found another bug in Armory Offline 0.96.0.1-testing. When I want to display already generated addresses again I can not use the right click options e.g. copy, show on blockchain.info, etc. nor I can spawn a pop-up window in the wallet's address explorer. Is this a known issue?

Which dialog is this happening in?

I'll push a new testing build for 0.96.1 on Sunday.

I just downloaded and tested 0.96.0.2, unfortunately the issue with fragmented backups still seems to be present.

Logfile, although I don't see anything too interesting in there...

Fixed the backup center issues yesterday, you'll have to build yourself or wait for another build.

Are the instructions for building for windows https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/blob/testing/windowsbuild/Windows_build_notes.md valid/working?

Fragmented backups is important enough for me to attempt the build myself.

Thanks for resolving this!

You don't need to build for that really. The issue was on the Python side, you'd have to pull form the testing branch and repackage with py2exe (assuming you want to create a .exe)
