It's still a really good rate. And maybe this makes it a little more likely people will drop out and spots will open.
I don't recall when was the last time someone left voluntarily and keep in mind that most of the time except for a few months (maybe a year at most) the rate was below $6, i.e. BTC was below $8000.

Probably (or, provably) no one. keep in mind that most of the time except for a few months (maybe a year at most) the rate was below $6, i.e. BTC was below $8000.
When I applied to this campaign rate was ~$5 and for few months it was, I don't know, around $2.5 (IIRC late 2018. or early 2019.).

Effective this week, campaign payments have decreased to $6 USD/post. All other rules remain the same. End of an era! It was very nice while it lasted. 191 weeks without pay reduction straight through 2 bull runs must be a record on Bitcointalk. I'm slightly disappointed it's now pegged to USD though. I was hoping we'd reach rediculously high amounts per post again if when Bitcoin goes up 10 fold again I don't recall when was the last time someone left voluntarily Probably (or, provably) no one. I remember Lauda left this campaign a while ago and moved to FortuneJack, but I can't find back the post.

Are you sure Lauda was a participant of this Campaign? IIRC they never were, but DarkStar_ would know better I suppose.

Effective this week, campaign payments have decreased to $6 USD/post. All other rules remain the same.
I think some of the smears against ChipMixer and it's signature campaign were influenced by the large payments CM signature participants were receiving, both abstractly and when compared to what other campaigns pay. I think the reduction in pay should help alleviate those smears while still attracting participants who make very good posts.

At least now we can name this phenomenon the Fleet Street Effect

Next question: $6 per post, based on which exchange or website? Bitstamp? Bitcoinaverage? Gemini? At what point in time? 24 weighted volume average? The highest green candle of the day? The lowest red candle of the day?
1 BTC = 1 BTC, but now we will be paid in $, sent via BTC. Our $1200 per month will end up either $900 per month or $1500 per month depending on how you value it all.
At least, for tax reporting purposes, you can say this particular bitcoin you got this week is worth $6.

I remember Lauda left this campaign a while ago and moved to FortuneJack, but I can't find back the post. Not just Lauda. Search through the spreadsheet for the word "left" and you'll see quite a few of us left voluntarily for our own reasons like the pressure of the day job.

Though I'd totally prefer a non-USD peg, I guess it's something that would be handy whenever we enter the next bear market, I guess. 🤷♂️

Let us all hope bitcoin drops down to $1 so that they pay us BTC6/post But seriously when I joined this campaign the rate was among the "low rates" since the highest pay per post was 0.0018 BTC. The only reason why this campaign suddenly turned into "highest rate" and attracted some drama was because they kept their pay rate the same while others reduced it or died.

Let us all hope bitcoin drops down to $1 so that they pay us BTC6/post Why not hope a better campaign from another company and they make it long lasting too? But seriously when I joined this campaign the rate was among the "low rates" since the highest pay per post was 0.0018BTC. The only reason why this campaign suddenly turned into "highest rate" and attracted some drama was because they kept their pay rate the same while others reduced it or died.
Here you go: History - signature campaigns and bounties on Bitcointalk0.0013 BTC per post and max post cap is 400 post per month. 400 posts ~ 0.52 BTC per month, really? Payment Structure
Edit: Maximum of 400 posts per month will be counted.

I don't recall when was the last time someone left voluntarily
Sapta on week 103. I remember Lauda left this campaign a while ago and moved to FortuneJack, but I can't find back the post.
I don't think Lauda posted a farewell message of some sort in here [perhaps in another thread or I might be wrong]. https://ninjastic.space/search?author=lauda&topic_id=1935179 Not just Lauda. Search through the spreadsheet for the word "left" and you'll see quite a few of us left voluntarily for our own reasons like the pressure of the day job.
Exactly. Here are users that left this campaign [for those that are interested]: - Personally, "I didn't leave" because of its rate but rather due to not having enough time [I was about to relocate to another country] and it felt wrong to occupy a spot while not giving back what ChipMixer deserved.sapta - Week 103 TheQuin - Week 94 krishnapramod - Week 80 SFR10 - Week 80 Flying Hellfish - Week 61 btcton - Week 58 warningsigns - Week 47 SaltySpitoon - Week 47 Lauda - Week 36 EXtremeAEX - Week 9

Let us all hope bitcoin drops down to $1 so that they pay us BTC6/post So if bitcoin would dump bad I will come here and look at the spreadsheet to see if you guys all dumped your btc stash simultaneously. I only wanted to point out that too many people (non-participants) started whining about the rates being so high. I do not know whether how this affected the decision or not but it is really sad to notice how people can be small and petty wishing that others lose what they have gained. ChipMixers, most of them, are some of the most active and more technically advanced guys around here. A few rather interesting projects on Bitcointalk have been started and run thanks to them. Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

I was hoping we'd reach rediculously high amounts per post again if when Bitcoin goes up 10 fold again I share your opinion, and I believe many others who appreciated the amount CM paid in BTC no matter how much BTC was worth at some point compared to fiat. Although this is still the best paid signature campaign on the forum, I personally hoped it would not go in the same direction as all other campaigns.

You’ve noticed this well, and it’s not the first time that some members who have nothing to do with CM opt for such moves. But when some of the CM members publicly declare that they would like to participate in this campaign even if the pay rates are reduced by 90%, then what can you expect from the owner then to react in this way. “Ask, and it will be given to you;"

Can't get in after thousands of attempts? Easy, just throw a tantrum and try to harm their members instead.

Just want to state my opinion about the things that are happening around this signature campaign.
First of all, highest percentage of Chipmixer's signature participants are very good persons who really take care of this forum, do a lot of things to make the user experience better (Loycev's tools), they try to make this forum free from scammers. There are a lot of good things that they do.
But at the same time I see that as bitcoin's price went higher, if we calculate, they get a lot of money in USD (if we convert bitcoins). A lot of users here are envious. They don't like it when they get some bucks by spamming and hate when others earn more money, even if they put a lot of work in it.
As I see, a lot of users posts things like these: Bitcoin is number one currency, bitcoin over USD, bitcoin's value shouldn't be calculated in USD, etc. But their behaviours show a different opinion. It's clear that for people Bitcoin is a shadow of USD and not really Bitcoin.

Can't get in after thousands of attempts? Are you trying to be an arbiter elegantiae here? I am sorry for but you better DYOR before spitting out judgements (free advice). I have never applied for this campaign. Not 1, not 2 not even 1000 attempts from my side. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt."
