I only wanted to point out that too many people (non-participants) started whining about the rates being so high. I do not know whether how this affected the decision or not but it is really sad to notice how people can be small and petty wishing that others lose what they have gained.
Can't get in after thousands of attempts? Easy, just throw a tantrum and try to harm their members instead.

Just want to state my opinion about the things that are happening around this signature campaign.
First of all, highest percentage of Chipmixer's signature participants are very good persons who really take care of this forum, do a lot of things to make the user experience better (Loycev's tools), they try to make this forum free from scammers. There are a lot of good things that they do.
But at the same time I see that as bitcoin's price went higher, if we calculate, they get a lot of money in USD (if we convert bitcoins). A lot of users here are envious. They don't like it when they get some bucks by spamming and hate when others earn more money, even if they put a lot of work in it.
As I see, a lot of users posts things like these: Bitcoin is number one currency, bitcoin over USD, bitcoin's value shouldn't be calculated in USD, etc. But their behaviours show a different opinion. It's clear that for people Bitcoin is a shadow of USD and not really Bitcoin.

Can't get in after thousands of attempts? Are you trying to be an arbiter elegantiae here? I am sorry for but you better DYOR before spitting out judgements (free advice). I have never applied for this campaign. Not 1, not 2 not even 1000 attempts from my side. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt."

Ironically, I don't think they are referring to you but instead people in general who were trying to bring the high payment of members to attention.
Not like it was a big deal: it was an obvious choice and anyone who wasn't expecting it... well... the campaign was probably the highest-paying for many months. Frankly, I'm surprised that they haven't changed anything yet!

Next question: $6 per post, based on which exchange or website? Bitstamp? Bitcoinaverage? Gemini? At what point in time? 24 weighted volume average? The highest green candle of the day? The lowest red candle of the day?
We could decide this in advance, raffle style, so can we have a lottery each week on Monday electing a member who will then pick 6 other members each selecting a day, again we have a raffle to see who the winner is and when we finally have decided the day, that person will pick a random block number that is supposed to be mined on that day and the actual time of the block will determine the price. We could also have a very complicated algorithm to determine what exchange we consider, but just as HeRetiK said, you won't get two ideas in the same post for just 6$ Or, we could get paid in USDT, right after we complete the KYC process Or...I could shut up! I'm 100% sure at least one of my three ideas will be appreciated! Now seriously, I don't think that should be a concern, in the long run it will even out as in tossing coins, unless we are the unluckiest people on this forum which obviously we are not!

0.0013 BTC per post and max post cap is 400 post per month. 400 posts ~ 0.52 BTC per month, really? I was one of very few people who got paid BTC0.405 for one week when I was a participant of a reputed campaign here (don't remember their name though as it was during 2014). My bad I didn't save them

I'm perfectly ok with the change, in fact I expected it already when Bitcoin hit $20000.
However, I am among those who hoped for an adjustment to a new BTC-based rate. Signature campaigns are one of the few services or items that were, for a long time, mostly priced in BTC, even if frequent changes to the rate were made. This made Bitcoin, at least in this small market and for limited timeframes, an unit of account, one of the essential functions of a currency.
Now, if I counted well, there are only 5 campaigns left with payout rates calculated in BTC, while the rest (around 15) moved to USD-based payments. In contrast, in the bull run of 2017 rates were still mostly priced in BTC.
I can perfectly understand the reasons behind this change, volatility is very high and continuously adjusting BTC-based rates would consume time and work in such a situation, and it would also be riskier for the entities behind the campaigns. But it's a bit sad because it shows how far away Bitcoin is still from being a "real currency".

@darkstar_, as someone who has watched the charts a bit I think Friday at 23:59 might be a good time to get the btc conversion rate. There's normally something stupid happening on the Sunday-Monday period price wise. (although it might not affect things too much in the bull run).
Yeah @lidl, stop converting euros to pounds because it makes pounds seem like they're not a real currency: is my problem with that statement. You buy a decent house in the UK you can expect to pay £250k+, to buy a nice house in Sweden you can probably expect to pay 2.5M krona+ (you actually could buy both with €230k if you really wanted to, I'm sure there's someone out there within the next 6 weeks+ - typical minimum house sale period that would take you up on that conversion without fees). It is a point that if you earn in a currency you can expect to be paying in that currency for simplicity but I can understand the reasons not to. And I suppose this is decent compared to my £1/0.01btc a week i made when I was a (I think full) member here.

SHAMEFUL from everyone here shameful from chipmixer. reducing payments by half would be plenty, and still less than at 2017 peak. reducing by 5 times (80 per cent) is shameful. users stuck with you in 2018-2019-2020 when prices are low and other campaigns are paying higher. going months with low payments when other campaigns pay more. did not ask for more money or leaving to join other campaign. prices go high and in a few days chipmixer slash payment by 80 per cent. this is how they treat loyal campaigners? chipmixer used to have reputation for caring about users and caring about community but not anymore. they treat like dirt. expendable. i never again use or support a mixer which turns on loyal users so quickly. bitcoin volume is ten times higher than in 2017-2018-2019. chipmixer making more profits than ever. they treat loyal users with big reduction. shameful. shameful from chipmixer campaigners. everyone says how you are best posters on forum. you set an example. chipmixer cut payments by 5 times and you all defend them? scared to have last few scraps taken away too? you set example that if best posters on forum can be treated like shit and accept it and still DEFEND THE COMPANY THAT TREATS THEM LIKE SHIT then anyone else can get away with it too. you make the forum worse for everyone being spineless shits. no one is happy with 5 times cut, but you all say its fine we are still the best yadayadayada. shameful. now watch you all argue with me. none want to admit i am right in case chipmixer takes away last few cents. now highest paying campaign is bitcasino. pays 0.018 every week for 25 posts. 2 times as chipmixer pays now for half as many posts. pays users like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=9645 red trust spammer 10 years is a lot of time to be sentenced for a crime like this one but just think how many lives this man ruined. He ruined the futures of many people for his own personal gains. I agree with others who say 10 years doesn’t seem like enough years for what he did.
Anyone who doesn’t think we will see the Bitcoin price reach 50k should not be wasting their times on this message forum. Regarding the mentioned target price of 80k by 2021 will not be reached in my honest opinion but its always good when people remain Bullish is this now Bear market.
Im in agreeing with you that we wont see Bitcoin ever drop to below 20k again. And i cant say I have always thought about the price like this. Current price is around $33k there would need to be trillions pulled out of the total marketcap. I cant see it happening really but we never know for sure.
If anything at all I think this is very good news to see these exchanges desisting privacy coins XMR DASH and ZEC. If people are selling the coins for Bitcoin, thats even better. Now we can all hope that hodlers of these coins will exchange these coins for BTC and pump into the marketcap.
this spammer is highest paid user on the forum, paid 4 times for each post what chipmixer is paying. hope chipmixer are happy being promoted by shit and spam with red trust like this because that is all they will get with these payments. in time all good users leave and only shit users join. chipmixer ruin their reputation, turn on loyal users, will get spammers on their campaign, while making most profits ever. shameful. used to stand out as great company. now turn in to just another mixer that spams for a few months and then gone forever.

Grow a pair and post from your main. I try not to post here but that last one was just fk'n bonkers. For 1 I don't give a shit what anyone is paid as a lucky side benefit of participating on this forum. I secondly don't give a shit about other campaigns or what they are doing, very happy with the absolute freedom to post anywhere between 1 and 50 posts that I will get paid 6$ for it - (Still more than some minimum wages for 1 hours work) Let that bit sink in a little. No one here stuck with Chipmixer or propped them up through the bear market as you describe. I can't recall a single one of us saying, "You, know what keep that BTC. Things must be tough" No we all happily took whatever DS deemed worthy of payment and didn't think twice. On the flip side of that CM has continued to offer 50+ users on this forum the chance to stack sats in a very generous manner, that's not going anywhere but it's going to slow down. Makes sense when the value of those Sats has let's say quadrupled the (guestimation) average price in the last 3.5 years. Let's all just be glad this campaign still exists, and we are being rewarded with BTC. Consider it a fun game to add to the weekly routine of what price will it be. In the end they could have very easily decided to forgo the campaign as it's layed out, slashed participants, and/or paid for forum advertising.
Not one person has even thought of the real victim Darkstar_ they now have to do more math each week, and it's not even constant they will have to input the price variable every single week folks.

I'm not here to trade. Exchange rate will be taken from the current Preev rate when payments are made for now.
Anyway, there's no point complaining about the payment rate. If you don't like it, you're free to leave. If you refuse to support a service because they're not paying extremely high payment rates, then don't support them. To my knowledge, no one has left yet. Please take your drama elsewhere, thanks.

Better yet, what would these users actually post about?
The running commentary on the rise and rise of bitcoin's overall value in this thread makes me realise some of these people are prepared to complain from within, but know they would never get let back in (once the price of Bitcoin goes down again) were they to actually walk away as some not in the SigCamp have suggested.
