Guys, i made a small fortune in altcoin/bitcoin. In which country should i settle ?
I have no wife, no kids, just a girlfriend, i´m free to go wherever i want (she´ll go with me).
But it has to be a bitcoin-friendly country.
I have no intention to buy lambos, just a peaceful life.
Thanks.

Oh, and my age is 53, that makes a difference too.

Philippines.

Get a beach house, or live in the city, or get a few acres of land ... Put a wall around it. Hire security or bodyguards.
When you have kids, hire a nanny for each. Send them to private schools.
Cash out in 2 or 3 major exchanges, or make it a daily routine to sell to locals.

But, don't do drugs.

A relatively large 3 to 5 bedroom, 2 or 3 car garage home, with a swimming pool, in a gated community will set you back about 10 to 20 million pesos, or 200k USD to 400k USD.

*edit* at 53, expect to live to maybe 83 ? so that's 30 years. You better have at least 1000 BTC (at today's prices) if you want to be comfortable without too much additional work. Get a token job for income tax purposes, but usually the government will leave you alone if you blend in.

That's 3 BTC per month for 30 years, more or less. Don't exceed that budget. You wouldn't unless you do something stupid. Just be smart about it. As a foreigner, you might spend more on local food (coconuts?) but just tip the waiters an extra 10~15% and you will get excellent service most of the time.

All gas stations are full-service, by the way. You can't gas the car yourself, they won't let you. Hire a chauffeur / driver for $300 USD per month. Double that amount if he acts as armed bodyguard.

I don't have a specific recommendation but, moving to a country needs more consideration than being a bitcoin friendly country, you need to take into consideration, the stability of the region, the costs of living, security, climate, lifestyle, language, traditions, taxes, the laws  and a lot of other factors.

Italy or Spain. The weather is good. Europe in general is Bitcoin friendly.
If you retire to the country side, you can lead a peaceful life.

I'd suggest Chile. But be aware most regions are exposed to earthquakes. Chile sums up being cryptocurrencies friendly, educated people, temperate weather, pretty safe and economy goes very well.

If you really have to go somewhere, probably Thailand or some similar east-Asian country where everything is super cheap. The Philippines might also be a cool place to go but I don't know of any people that have been in those communities specifically, so I have no idea what life is like there. I know some people who have talked about it, but they never really followed through with anything related to that.
Good luck I guess. Probably some of the better countries to retire in.

"Economy going well" is important, because then they don´t want money from me !

That is a complex decision.  At the Zero Hedge threads, I always recommended anyone considering another country go there for AT LEAST EIGHT WEEKS to thoroughly check it out.  Perfect the language (or start learning it).  Eating the food (would yr gf like it too).  Would you want Americans around or not?  Would you miss American stuff (bookstores, a real drawback that would keep me from moving to Peru, my "Plan B Country", my wife is Peruvian, we are on a visit now).  Talk to local lawyers during your 8 weeks plus.

I would recommend further trips, probably also to visit other candidate countries.  Take your time.

I think Oceania is a good place to live, but I don't know if people there wants foreigners moving themselves to their countries. New Zealand seems a nice place, Australia too, and they are Bitcoin friendly as I know.

As you have money, you can choose where to go, congratulations, you are free to choose your destiny, don't listen only people here, but go to where you think it will be good for you... Check some nice places, read about them.

Go somewhere there is no tax on property, so that you actually own it instead of renting it from the government for the rest of your life.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

does such a land exist?

is it only N.Korea, Iran & Syria?

I would also advise to rent for at least 6 months to see if you can deal with the locals wherever you may choose, before buying anything!!

S.E.Asia is ok but the english is very limited. A lot of places here have populations with a deepseated hatred for success, effort, individualism etc.

Im looking at South America & Southern Europe until i can afford a dormant volcano on antarctica.

It depends on you, you could go anywhere where you want to, right? But if you do really want to go somewhere where you could make more fortune in the cryptocurrencies, then I suggest you to go to Japan, because they have already accepted bitcoin as a currency on their country. But I could say that all of the countries around the world do know about bitcoin, it's just that not all of them already did what Japan did to bitcoin.

But we're on our way to that, I'm sure of that, all we have to do is to continuously support bitcoin no matter what, even though in its DOWN or in its UP, we just have to hold and keep on saving bitcoin.

if you have a good fortune in bitcoin, what about going in a country that see bitcoin like a currency? japan australia they are regulating pretty well bitcoin, you can try to live there, japan is a wonderful place

it's not tax free, but if you have a fortune you should not be worried about tax, the good thing is that you can get rid of fiat there

As peace is the main concern, you could try to settle in the western nation mainly on Netherlands where the out of city location were good for a best village living experience along with peace. If you plan of making a living in the Asian countries, then try to find a place in the Brunei.
