Oh, just an idea to store backups of wallets or private keys or anything. Pictures are worth a thousand bitcoins. Put them all in a box or clear plastic bag, keep on your person, and you can go through any airport anywhere in the world. Unless you encounter a government that doesn't like kid's toys; don't go to North Korea maybe.

It's a good idea, but if they're very thorough they'll do an x-ray and possibly see it. It would probably only happen if you were already under investigation at the airport for drug trafficking or something like that though. It's a good idea for hiding things in your home though.

Husband: "Honey, what happened to my legos?!" Wife: "You are a 34 year old man, you do not need legos, I donated them to the local preschool!" Husband: "Doh!" Just having some fun with your neat idea for a hiding spot, obviously the wallet would have strong encryption so even the smartest preschoolers can't crack it!

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

Just having some fun with your neat idea for a hiding spot, obviously the wallet would have strong encryption so even the smartest preschoolers can't crack it! Lol, if those kids do manage to crack it, then damn they'll make it rain! But theoretically if they managed to crack down strong encryption then they'll be famous for just that, considering their age and amazing ability. Edit: Gets me thinking, what will the parents do if their child in preschool gains fame for his ability, would he be hired my agencies or companies like Google for god knows what, and would that child ever live a normal life?

hahaha what country would stop you say taking a camera with files on its sd card, or dude just store a file in the cloud temporarily 24 hours before you travel... its not that risky. Even on your phone. And hell why not just use a private key? ? Don't get me wrong its a fun idea...

But when I must fly by airplane, I store encrypted mnenomics in cloud and when I return home, I change mnemonics and trash old ones.

This is wonderful Dabs! SDCard is protected, but keep it away to kids and to your wife, hehe. SDcards can be also use to hide Bitcoin wallet's wallet.dat file. And storing private documents. Waw a good idea, but if they are more thorough they will do a search with the help tool and maybe see it. May only occur if it has been investigated. It's better not to do it and keep it at home

Why not put a paper inside the lego with the keys? It can't be detected.

If you're doing that, might as well keep the paper in your physical wallet (the one that contains your fiat cash and credit cards, and/or passport). You have a small envelope together with your boarding pass, or the microSD card is stuck on the back of your phone (but not inserted), or it's mixed in your coin purse (which contains lots of physical coins, good luck getting a clear x-ray of that.) It is just one idea, there are many more. Personally, I'd probably stitch it on my shirt or pants, maybe with velcro. If they force you to strip for a search you've got other problems.

Nice idea! It's a nice way to store your Bitcoin, easy to bring outside, easy to make. I think you should keep working for this idea, people will be very interested in your idea. Good luck

Nice idea to protect it. Lego blocks are super strong. That might even be water proof. What gave you the idea ? We're you just looking for a way to protect your SD card ? Put them all in a box or clear plastic bag, keep on your person, and you can go through any airport anywhere in the world. Unless you encounter a government that doesn't like kid's toys; don't go to North Korea maybe.

I think carrying Lego is actually quite suspicious, since they have a lot of spots to hide something and people usually don't carry unsealed packs of random Lego. Anyway, why would you want to hide a microSD card in airport? Is that illegal or what? You could also just memorize your wallet seed - it's only 12 words, and turn your brain into a backup storage of your Bitcoins

All my bank passwords and logins are random looking. This was more of a fun idea. Truth be told, I would just print a paper wallet or write the words in a normal book I carry. The microSD card is for convenience. I still use Bitcoin Core, so my wallet.dat file is about 8mb already after so many years. Might switch to the new HD format it now uses. I just ordered a binder and some sheet protectors, that's probably where I'll stick my paper wallets in. Or stick the memory card in my bi-fold leather wallet, the one that holds my credit cards and fiat paper bills. I mean it already has a bunch of smart chips, x-ray isn't going to bother looking.

There is a huge risk of losing that lego toy. Don't take that risk. All bitcoins would be gone forever.

You know there is this magical device it allows you to play music watch videos surf the Internet and even install programs and play games. You can also keep your memory card in this amazing device and carry it anywhere you want. -_- Otherwise buy one of those cute little key ring meory cards and out it into your wallet. The thing is tiny and can be out anywhere snug and safe.

Yes, this is a good idea, but the problem is whether this idea can be properly realized? As we can see, it is unique that it may happen and will be a lot of devotees,
