you can't mine etheruem anymore with 2gb card not even with 3gb you need 4gb gpu to mine etheruem now, it's better if you tryHUS or musiccoin, they have a lower nethash

My 3GB cards are still working well for ETH mining
2GB are too small to load the DAG, they won´t work for ETH

You can mine [in order of profitability off the top of my head] Equihash (ZEC, ZCL, HUSH, KMD), Grotsel (DGB, DMD), Daggerhash(EXP, Music coin, UBIQ)

I haven't tested any of the above dagger coins on a 270 but I think the DAG is smaller than ETH so should work

Even a HD7970 or HD7950 is still usable for mining and 270 is a higher gen, my 7990's are excellent for Equihash

If you don't care about power costs get the CPU mining XMR or any Cryptonite also

So forget about mining ETH, do the above and buy yourself some  Grin

edit - @ 50USD you will ROI very fast

R9 270 should match the performance of a HD 7870 on ZEC, or slightly exceed it depending on how high you can clock it.
It has the SAME GPU, but somewhat faster RAM (1400 or 1450 Mhz vs 1250 on the older card).

Last time I ran my pair of 7870s on ZEC I think they were pulling somewhere in the 130-150 sol/s per card range, with their best reliable performance overclock (1000/1250).

At $50, I agree that they should ROI pretty fast as long as the high price is willing and the diff don't rise (too far)....
