There probably is but no one is going to give it to you. If you don't respect or want to pay for the hard work they've put into it, use a normal Linux distro.

nvOS if you're running Nvidia cards is free, but he only supports a few specific motherboards.
It probably wouldn't be hard to modify it (IF needed) to work with other motherboards (LINUX is very flexable that way).
Or go with a standard distribution like Ubuntu or XUbuntu etc.
simplemining is a ripoff IMO, paying a monthly fee for an OS is a very sickening idea to me.

Just don't get the point of these mining Os's. I can deploy a ubuntu build, with all drivers, cuda, oc stuff and other monitoring tools in under one hour. So what's the point, I simply can't understand this. Can someone elaborate?

Mining OSes like ethOS are made to be easy to setup and they come with a bunch of features (in the case of ethOS) like automatically trading to BTC, being lightweight and offering easy BIOS flashing- I agree that it's easy to setup a Linux rig with an OS like Ubuntu and get everything that OSes like ethOS offers in a short amount of time, but it's easy and quick to setup for the less tech-savvy people out there (though $40 per rig is a pretty hefty cost for a mining OS, and the advantages of the OS aren't worth $40 IMO). These mining OSes are basically marketed for newbie miners for convenience (as suggested by ethOS coming preinstalled on some SSDs) and commercial/large-scale deployment, as the OS is sold by GPUshack under that title.

The point is for folks that are NOT used to LINUX and comfortable with it to be able to use it.

I was searching a free ethOS before but I don't see any free download or copy. That is why I stay using a windows 10 os use a claymore miner to mine ethhash algo and use simpleminer in another rig because its free to use but they ask for a donation of $2 monthly it's a small amount than nothing.
Don't trust newbies who posting a fake link pretending as legit or not fake.
